St. Croix Traveler Rod Cases

Description

The redesigned St. Croix Traveler Rod Cases provide maximum protection for your prized rods. They are constructed of a durable Cordura covered P.V.C. with foam padded ends to protect the rod tips. They have divided nylon liners which provide added protection and eliminates the need for a rod sock. They also have reinforced carrying handles and adjustable buckle closures. The new oval shape prevents the rod tube from rolling while in transit.

St. Croix Traveler Rod Cases are all black in color and have the St. Croix logo on them. Guide clearance is #40 stripper. The case can be used with any brand of rod and work with casting, float, fly, and spinning rods.

Good case. A bit tight for spinning rod/casting rod combo
Comments: All around a good purchase. Not as clumsy as a bazooka case. Rods do not move around and are well protected once they are in the case. Care must be taken not to bend rod guides or poles when inserting them in case.

Best Uses: Fresh Water, Salt, Steelheader
Comments: Best case to keep your st.croix rods in. I have one for every rod. Best part is they don't really roll like round cases. I wish they had a label on the side to write what rod you have stored in it.

 Rod Case
Pros: Nicely made, Functional, Excellant for traveling
Cons: Tight fit - spinning rods, Space for spin rod guides
Best Uses: Airline travel
Comments: Nice, functional rod case. Found clearance to be a bit tight for spinning rod guides. Once you figure out the combination of putting the sections in and taking them out it does the job. A little more room inside would be nice.

 Great For Airplane Travel
Pros: Excellant for traveling, Functional
Best Uses: Airline travel, Road travel, Storage of rod
Comments: I use these cases for airline travel. Keeps rods safe and secure. Small enough to fit in the overhead compartment, but would be absolutely comfortable checking them in as well. The shell is very hard and stable, will not bend or twist.

Finally, case for 2 piece float rod
Pros: Functional, Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use
Best Uses: Traveling
Comments: took a lot of searching to find a hard case that would fit my 2 piece 11'4" G Loomis Float rod. This case fit the bill. This rod has pretty large lower guides but still fits into this case easily. The fellows at FishUSA actually tried the rod in the case at the warehouse before selling it to me, great service!

Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses: Traveling, Fresh Water
Comments: I received a St. Croix Triumph for Christmas (it was on my list) and it came with a soft nylon case. I think the case would have been sufficient for most but I also kayak and gear gets pushed around in the back of my Forester. I looked for a hard case for better protection and was happy to find a case made for my rod. Four compartments, easy to use opening and the protection I was looking for. I have other rods that I take on fishing trips but this case makes it possible to keep the Triumph in the car all the time for those unexpected opportunities. A+

 High Quality, Fair Price
Pros: Easy To Use
Best Uses: Fresh Water
Comments: This case is shaped correctly to accommodate the big first guide on a spinning rod, without the whole case having to be big, and it won't roll around. It will hold two 2-piece poles.

 Best rod case around.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Best Uses: Traveling, Fresh Water, Ice Fishing
Comments: This is an A1 rod case. I have bought six of these. Four for me and two as gifts. With all of the many different sizes to choose from, it is so great to have a rod case only as long as you need it. Buy one for each rod you own and never get another broken rod while it is in storage or while traveling.

 Great size for pack rods
Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Functional, Durable
Best Uses: hiking, Traveling, Backpacking, Fresh Water
Comments: I bought this for my old Wright McGill Trailmaster. It's a 6'6" 4 piece rod and it fits perfectly inside this case. The fabric dividers are a little tight. It can be a bit of a trick to get the rod inside but it's not going anywhere once you do.

 Protection for Float Rod
Pros: Functional, UNIQUE
Best Uses: Centerpinning
Comments: Had a very difficult time finding a case that would protect my Raven float rod. Standard fly tubes are too small to accomodate high-frame guides. This St. Croix case was perfect solution! Available in a wide range of sizes to exactly fit my 13' 6" three-piece! Glad I found it!

 Very Good Rod Case
Pros: Easy To Use, Functional, Easy To Maintain, Durable, Length and Price
Cons: Nothing
Best Uses: Traveling, Salt Water
Comments: This is a great rod case for at home storage and travel. Some 9' 4 piece rods have butt sections longer than 30"/31". Most rod cases only accept 30" pieces. This is one of the few rod cases that will accept a 32"+ butt section. The oblong shape is a nice touch, as the case will not roll when laid down. The shape does not complicate inactive storage.

 Strong and intelligent design
Pros: Durable, Easy To Maintain, Functional, Easy To Use
Best Uses: Ice Fishing, Traveling, Salt Water, Fresh Water
Comments: Most other rod cases have a round cross section. The St. Croix traveler cases have an elongated oval cross section that fits the shape of spinning rods well, but this oval shape prevents the case from rolling around. The clasp on the top also is low profile and doesn't hang up on your other gear. The case is strong enough that you can stand on it without crushing the case.
