Description

St. Croix Legend Surf Rods are built tough, powerful and light to compete against custom surf rods. There are no other rods you can take off the rack that will cast farther or out perform the Legend. These rods are built from St. Croix's premium SCIV graphite and incorporate ART, IPC and FRS technologies. The Legend also features Fuji's revolutionary, small diameter LC surf guides and tangle free tip tops, ensuring more worry-free casting and catching. Two-piece models feature rod sections of unequal length. Two-piece models have a short butt and handle section and a longer tip section which aids in casting.

Features of St. Croix Legend Surf Rods include:

  • Premium SCIV graphite black construction
  • FRS Resin Fortified System
  • ART Advanced Reinforcing Technology
  • IPC Integrated Poly Curve tooling technology
  • Spinning and Casting models
  • Custom X-Grip handles
  • Fuji DPS reel seats with frosted silver hoods
  • Fuji's LC surf guides with "tangle-free" tip tops
  • Slim profile ferrules

St. Croix Legend Surf Rods are made in the U.S.A.

 Awsome Product
Pros: Accurate Casting, Sensitive, Durable, Lightweight, Good Tip Action, Flexible
Best Uses: Ocean Fishing
Comments: This was an awsome rod. Went fishing in the surf on the Jersey shore 2 days after I got it and caught 12 stripers. Great castability, great hook set and sensitivity. Light weight so I fished for 4 hours with great comfort. Was really worth the money.

St Croix Legend Surf-Worth the bucks?
Pros: Lightweight, Sensitive, Easy To Transport, Flexible, Good Tip Action
Comments: Waited awhile to write this (fall run started late).Have the 10'6'' moderate taper,. medium action (3/4-4 oz). Currently have a Cabo PT60 on it which seems a little heavy-will probably change to a lighter reel (Van Stahl VS150). Using 20 lb Suffix braid. I strictly fish artificials, not bait. Casts very well- does best in the 2-3 oz range, but works with lighter stuff too. Handles fish well, brings them to the beach quickly (caught blues, bass, and albies, nothing huge, but decent enough fish). I have been getting a lot less wind knots with this rod than with my others, probably due to the smaller guides. Really shines on windy days and nights. Haven't found anything bad to say about this rod. It's very light, powerful, and it can sail stuff out there. So- was it worth the big bucks? For me,yes. You might want to check this rod out if you're seriously into plugging the surf.
