Work of ART - Casts like a dream (from prior model)
Pros: Accurate Casting, Sensitive, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: Large Fish, Ocean Fishing, River Fishing, Small Fish
Comments: Gorgeous rod, create castability and first rate materials. St. Croix does it again. My plan is to use this Rod in South Florida in Biscayne Bay, Flamingo and Chokoluskee for Snook, Reds, Tarpon and Trout. The cold and the fish kill have kept me from getting out to the water since my purchase but in casting it in the FW canal behind my home I can see it will be a favorite to pull the big ones off the flat or out of the mangroves. Quality can't be beat. Rods in this range of craftsmanship are craftsman built or twice the price. I would like to see a bit larger guide and tip top toward the top of the rod for larger leader knots.

Although costly ,worth the bucks (from prior model)
Pros: Accurate Casting, Flexible, Sensitive, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: River Fishing, Small Fish
Comments: I have used this rod in a small lake in my back yard. I have caught snook, tarpon and tilapia. I love the action and sensitivity. For once in my life, I wanted top of the line equipment.
