 Serves my needs!
Pros: convenient length, sensitivity, sturdiness
Cons: none noted
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: I was looking specifically for a short (24 inch) heavy or medium-heavy ice fishing rod. Surprisingly, the choice is not that impressive. Most of the rods in the H or M-H category are much longer. I ended up buying a heavy rod from Frabill and St. Croix medium-heavy. So far, I had an opportunity to fish with this rod only twice. Nevertheless, the rod exceeded my expectations by being sturdy yet extremely sensitive. It worked equally well with large balanced lures and tiny wolfram jigs. I would recommend this rod without any reservations.

 Great so far
Pros: Sensitive, Durable
Best Uses: panfishing, Small Fish, finicky fish, light bites, beginners
Comments: I've beat on it a bit but haven't got to fish with it a whole lot. Works well and the bite indicators are awesome. Excited to actually catch fish with it!

 Nice set up
Pros: Durable, Easy To Transport, Sensitive, Good Tip Action
Cons: Too Stiff
Best Uses: Small Fish
Comments: I am a avid ice fisherman for panfish. I prefer rods that have very flexible tips and action. I found that the light action Legend was too stiff and had too much backbone for me. I use the ultra light action which is still stiffer than other models of ultra light rods. The reel seat is a nice addition if that is what you want. The grommet for attaching the spring indicator is what makes this rod. You can easily change spring indicators as you change to different weight jigs. The spring indicators themselves are the best designed on the market. They are extremely sensitive and the line does not run thru the spring. A real plus when pieces of ice form on your line. The only change I would like to see is a Legend that is 30-32" and a optional cork handle

 Continuing quality from St. Croix!
Pros: Sensitive, Easy To Transport
Best Uses: Small Fish
Comments: I live in Northern Ohio, and ice fish for perch, bluegills, and walleye when the ice is good. These rods have joined my 'older' equipment, and their stiffness lends itself well to larger fish, while the spring tip allows me to sense the lightest bite.

Definately worth the cash.....THE BEST
Pros: Flexible, Sensitive, Good Tip Action
Comments: I purchased the ML model and fell in love with it.....you can see the most subtle takes....first time out I was catching plenty of nice trout....but then moved and found some perch....those little nibblers didn't stand a chance..I did buy the UL model also.....I took my friend fishing...his first time ice fishing and he was having trouble detecting the bite...I loaned him my NEW rod.....he then caught fish....I needed to buy another one....I will be buying my friend his own St. Croix ice rod for his birthday...... If you are fishing for panfish....stick with the Light or UL action........ML is fine for trout / bass, but overkill for the panfish..... The rod is amazing.......I tried the panfish popper rod.....and there is no comparison.....the St. Croix is worth the extra cash.....

 St. Croix Legend Ice Rods
Pros: Sensitive
Comments: One of my favorite rods to use in my portable ice shanty. Very sensitive! I would like to see St. Croix make a slightly longer ice rod like this one. Compared to other rods other rods the price is a little steep, but they are worth the extra $$.
