 >  > Shimano Sedona FE Spinning Reels
Description

Shimano Sedona FE Spinning Reels offer anglers quality, lightweight, durable reels at an affordable price. These reels are built with a composite M-Compact Body that reduces weight, yet provides a rigid foundation. Line capacity has been increased with the double-anodized machine-cut spool. The Propulsion Line Management System provides longer casting distances than a standard spool, while preventing backlashes and wind knots from forming.

Sedona FE Spinning Reels utilize Dyna-Balance technology to eliminate wobble during retrieve, making these reels are extremely sensitive and smooth. Sedona Reels include shielded bearings to reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the rotation, making them great for freshwater or saltwater.

Features of Shimano Sedona FE Spinning Reels include:

  • M-Compact Body
  • Propulsion Line Management System
  • Super Stopper II
  • S A-RB
  • Dyna-Balance
  • Power Roller

Real Nice Reel (from prior model)
Pros: Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling, very dependable
Best Uses: trout fishing, bass, pan fish
Comments: Nice affordable reel with good quality construction. Very smooth operation. Pairs well with ultralight setup. Nice and strong for bigger fish. The 6.2:1 gear ratio makes it special in it's class. That retrieve speed is a must for upstream spinner fishing for trout.

Shimano Sedona D Spinning Reels (from prior model)
Pros: good drag, very dependable
Comments: I have 5 of the Sedona 4000 FD reels and 4 of the Sedona in the 2500 FD series. I use these reels on steelhead, walleye, small mouth bass, perch, and gills. I`ve owned the Sedona`s reels for many years and had no problem with any of them. They have a good drag system, and the reels itself are smooth in the mechanical end. I spool these reels with mono, fire line, and braid, and have no issues with birds nest. Great reels for the price.

Great reel (from prior model)
Pros: Durable, Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling, Reliable, Line Doesn't Tangle, Easy Casting
Best Uses: Shore Casting, River Fishing, Trolling
Comments: I used to burn up a reel per year steelhead fishing. I bought a Sedona SE2500RB and have been using it for 7 years. The fighting drag is great for playing the fish. I moved to SC and use this reel for stipers. i also bought two SE4000RB for striper fishing and love them. I set the fighting drag low in the rod holder. When the fish hits, its a quick flip of the fighting drag and lift out of the holder. If they ever discontinue them I plan to stockpile them.
