 Gread rod
Comments: Big bang for the buck Paired with a Penn Baja Special... whipped a 35 lb amberjack in about 6 or 7 minutes.

 Mighty little powerhouse!
Pros: Price point, power
Cons: Ugly Stik yellow, reel seat not quite wide enough
Comments: I purchased 4 of these rods to be matched with Penn 113HN Baja Specials. To be used for some jigging, and mostly bottom fishing for Grouper, Snapper, Amberack, etc in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic, off NE Florida. They easily handled some 20+ lb snappers, and had the strength to break off some rock and coral when we got snagged on the bottom. I have them spooled with blue Momoi Diamond braid, 80 lb. I am truly impressed with the lightness, sensitivity and power these rods have. And for 70 bucks... they're a steal. I am thinking about picking up a set of four more.
