 Great Rod & Great Service
Pros: Light weight, Very sensitive, Great service
Best Uses: Fresh water streams and lakes
Comments: I use Ugly Stiks for all my fresh water and saltwater fishing. Never had one break and have caught some decent size fish. This latest one is light weight and the added sensitivity lets me feel the slightest hit. Super rod for the money. In addition FishUSA have great prices, great shipping rates but most important they do a great job on the packaging so the rod gets to you in excellent shape. That is part of their great service.

Great rod at a reasonable price
Pros: Nice action, reasonably durable, reasonably priced
Cons: Can't think of any
Best Uses: I use this one for trolling
Comments: I bought this particular rod for my son-in-law as a Christmas gift. I did so remembering him coveting my Ugly Stik, a twin brother to the one I got him, when we were up at the lake last summer. We pack several Ugly Stiks on our boat. Their light action makes it easy to detect bites and the actual landing a ton of fun. A couple of years ago, my wife lost the tip of hers due to carelessness, and some friends who were with us suggested that we take it to a rod repair shop. Well, our area is not teaming with repair shops, and the fact is, due to the reasonableness of the price, it was cheaper to replace the rod. If you want a staus synbol, go to the high-end brands. But if you want a fun, well-balanced rod, stick with the Ugly Stik. ps. Being an "old-school" guy, I really like the cork grips.

Comments: This is the pole I keep in the truck. Paired with a Pflueger President 6720x it's balanced perfectly. I toss everything from tiny jigs to plastic worms and lizards with it. It's nuthin' but fun to fish with. From Bluegill to Bass, and eatin' size Cats, this little Ugly Stik can handle it.

 Ugly Stik,my favorite rod
Pros: Good Tip Action, Sensitive, Durable
Best Uses: River Fishing, Small Fish
Comments: Good rod! Well priced for majority fishermen/women. The clear tip makes it look stronger. It is a pity that it could not work with the Zebco Platinum 11PLT Triggerspin Reel, with the reel smaller for the reel seat

 Just what I expected
Pros: Sensitive, Accurate Casting, Durable
Best Uses: Large Fish, River Fishing, Small Fish
Comments: Large and small fish are both possible. I fish light tackle and stout line, particularly in the river. Big fish can be caught with UL rods paired with heavier line.

Comments: Works awesome on big rainbows and steelies. Sensitive tip but stout backbone. Have 4, only rod I never broke. And not so ugly.

durable and well made
Cons: Heavy
Best Uses: Bushwacking small streams, River Fishing
Comments: I purchased the 6' 6" ultra light for trout and panfish. I like that Shakespeare put 7 guides plus the tip guide on a 6' 6" rod instead of saving money by using only 5 or 6. I would give it 5 stars but it's a little heavy for an ultra light.

 "Ugly" is Beautiful!
Pros: Good Tip Action, BEST ROD EVER, Durable, Flexible, Easy To Transport, Sensitive, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: Small Fish, River Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: Bought my first Ugly Stick about 45 years ago and still have it and still use it, even though i had to replace the tip eye after I shut the car door on it years ago. Just bought two more Ugly (Ultra-Lite) Sticke - one for me and one to go with my grandson's first fishing outfit. That makes 12 Ugly Sticks for me now. I have other rods that I have tried but, except for one, I always go Ugly when I go fishing these days. In my book, it's the BEST ROD MADE!

Comments: I mounted a Shimano Sedona reel on it and my ability to cast in a tight spot was increased dramaticly. I was able to keep the fish in front of me the came in at 4 pounds without chasing it down the shore.
