 9 Foot Noodle Rod
Pros: Sensitive, Flexible, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: Panfish, Trout
Comments: Very nice rod with 9 guides and IM 8 construction. I have a St Crox panfish series rod that I paid 4 times more for that I like less than this rod. I have two of these and enjoy using them. The first rod was in 4 pieces when it arrived (packaging and handling by delivery folks) but the great people at FishUSA had another on the way next day. Great customer service.

 Shakespeare Agility IM-8 Noodle Rods
Pros: Fast action, long casting.
Comments: When it comes to buying fishing rods, I always pick a Shakespeare. I know I will have the quality and reliability of a good product at an affordable price. The Agility Noodle Rod is excellent for casting spinners and spoons. Fun to catch any size fish on this rod.

Shakespeare Agility IM-8 9' Noodle Rod
Pros: lightweight, balanced, Sensitive
Cons: Still looking for one
Best Uses: I have only used for crappie at this time
Comments: The rods are exactly what I was wanting, lightweight, sensitive and easily controllable. We are using these rods for crappie in the south. The 9' rods balance well with a reel on them. Unlike flyrods that I have tried in the past, the extra length behind the reel seat adds to the leverage you can apply to a fish. The 9' rod fishes like most 10' or 11' rods.

My expectations were dashed!
Pros: Sensitive, Lightweight
Cons: Poor Construction, Breaks Easily
Best Uses: Small Fish
Comments: I purchased this rod as a "noodling" rod for Steelhead (10 foot-6 incher) however, I took it out to try catching crappie &, amazingly half the fishing day, I cast it out &, the rod collapsed in the middle splintering...I never even caught the first fish yet! At least it did not fail when I had a 20 lb. salmon on it as it never got that far! I am returning it back to the store where I purchased it &, going to buy a St. Croix this time! So disappointing as the action felt good.

Pros: Sensitive, Lightweight, Durable, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting
Cons: Not made in USA
Best Uses: Large Fish, River Fishing
Comments: In the past i never used shakespeare reels or rods, but till now i have a differnt oppinion about this product. As long as they improving, i will keep buying these agility reels and rods. Great price that hard to beat, only problem i see is they need to be made in America. Shakespeare do us all a favor and bring the work for these reels and rods back to United States and make them here. Then you will have outdone yourself.

ROD TIP BROKE IN HALF ON THE FIST FISH I
Pros: TIP SNAPED RIGHT AWAY
Cons: Breaks Easily
Comments: I USE THIS PRODUCT AS A DEAD STICK WHILE TROLLING FOR WALLEYES. I LIKE THE LENGTH FOR THE FACT THAT IT GETS IT AWAY FROM THE BOAT. THE HANDLE LENGTH IS SHORTER THAT MOST LONG RODS SO IT DOSEN'T STICK OUT SO FAR INTO THE BOAT. I CAN'T REALLY TELL YOU MUCH MORE ABOUT IT BECAUSE THE ROD TIP SNAPED IN HALF ON THE FIRST WALLEYE I CAUGHT WHILE TRYING TO NET IT.

 Second Shakespeare Agility IM-8
Pros: Good Tip Action, Flexible, Sensitive, Durable
Best Uses: River Fishing, Small Fish, Large Fish
Comments: This is the second Shakespeare Agility IM-8 I have purchased. I use the 9' rod for fishing whitefish, I need a sensitive tip and long rod to play the fish using 4lb test line. The rod works beautifully and matches perfectly (weight, size, balance) with my Pflueger President reel. I could not ask for a better rod for fishing whitefish.

 20 lb. salmon!
Pros: Good Tip Action, Sensitive, Flexible, Accurate Casting, Durable
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: Excellent feel. Fist fish on this rod was a 20 pound salmon. Landing it was really no more diffucult than on my heavy poles. Bite detection on this pole is great. The slow action is wonderful for delayed hook sets. Awesome rod.

 Described with great accuracy
Pros: Flexible, Good Tip Action

Comments: Used it in the back bays for stripers. Casts well but perhaps a little too flexible at the tip. A medium action might have been better.

 Long range weapon of choice
Pros: Flexible, Sensitive, Great value, Easy To Transport, Durable, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: Small Fish, Large Fish, River Fishing, Shore fishing
Comments: I fish the Wachusett Reservoir in Central MA. No boats allowed, shore fishing only. Big browns, salmon, lakers & bass. This rod is perfect for long casting to get you out there and in the game. Rated to 3/8 oz lures but can handle a 1/2 oz. Kastmaster with good accuracy. Took on a 9 lb. northern in Maine with no problem. Also use a St. Croix Wild River 9 foot steelhead rod with a little stiffer action. The Shakespeare compliments the setup with a little lighter action....at 1/3 the price ! A terrific value for the money.

 Great rod for the $$$$$
Pros: Flexible, Accurate Casting, Easy To Transport, Good Tip Action, Durable, Sensitive
Best Uses: Steelhead
Comments: I bought this rod for steel on the Erie tribs, and I love it. The rod is nicely crafted and is strong enough to turn the fish, or stop a runner in it's tracks. The rod casts great and after a day of fishing a 9 foot rod, I didn't even think about it being heavy. Considering how inexpensive the rod is, I really didn't know what to expect when I ordered it. I pretty much just hoped for the best since it was within my budget. I am definitely impressed. What made it even better was that I got the rod in the mail two days after placing my order.

Great Rod!
Pros: Good Value, High Quality, Durable
Best Uses: Steelhead, Panfish
Comments: I purchased this rod from FishUSA in the 9' model. So far, i've used it while fishing for steelhead in the lake Erie tribs as well as fishing for crappie, perch, and other panfish in local water. It has performed great in both situations, with sensitivity to feel a bluegill nibble and backbone to land a steelhead quickly. It's not a fancy or especially beautiful rod (matte black/charcoal blank, black & gold wrappings), but it seems to be well built, and it gets the job done.

Great rod, used for years
Pros: Durable, Sensitive, Flexible, Accurate Casting, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: I used the first generation of this rod for 5-6 years, the Shakespeare Infinity. I put over a thousand steelhead on it, hundreds of 5-15 lb carp, and even a 7 lb largemouth on it. I bought this version 2 years ago because the old one was finally wearing around the guides. I have already put hundreds of steelhead on it and smallmouth and largemouth, not to mention some worthy carp. Great for using jigs up to 1/16 oz. for steel, tossing spoons and spinners in the lake, great sensitivity on floating eggs and flies, and you can feel every wiggle on a flatfish worked in front of packs of hungry steelhead. With both rods I have rammed them into trees and the ground and never had a break. For the money it beats rods 3 times the price. Backbone is much stronger than other rods the same lenght. Plenty of noodly sensitivity but much more strengh to get them in or fight in the current. Just a great rod by a company overlooked by many fishing for steelhead. Fits plenty of other uses such as crappie and perch, and float and fly bass fishing.

The IM-8 is the best rod you can get.
Pros: Flexible, Durable, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting, Sensitive
Best Uses: River Fishing, Small Fish
Comments: I like the IM-8, 9 foot long version with a light weight open reel with 4 or 6 lb test line. This set up is perfect for bass ,trout in lakes or streams using live bait and small spinners. This rod is so sensitive that I feel and hook a fish before it can swallow the bait.

 im-8 noodle rod
Pros: Sensitive, Accurate Casting, Good Tip Action, Flexible
Cons: Hard To Transport, eyelets freeze easily
Best Uses: Large Fish, River Fishing
Comments: ive been river fishin with this rod for about a month now. 10', 6" ,2-8lb is the size i got. i already had a 9 footer that i like and have landed quite a few fall salmons and a few spring steel head with. the new one i got is a lil more sensitive, and casts more accurately(think because of the length??) its harder to set a hook though being more sensitive. unfortunately the water has been soo high i havent caught any steelies yet. so i cant tell how good it fights a big guy, but i did catch a nice carp that felt like a monster on this light pole lol. i was able to steer the fish easily and the action worked well with light drag. all in all i love this rod, and the price is right where you can love it too. unfortunately my pole is still a virgin and i tink itll stay that way till salmon season. :(
