 Great vest for the money
Pros: storage and comfort
Cons: combined sizes
Comments: If you're going with a vest instead of a pack, this one is probably all you'll need. It has enough pocket space for two large (~3"x5") fly boxes and two smaller if you carry more. The vest is vented and has only a clip to close it, so I don't see it giving you heat stress in the summer although I've used it only in cooler weather so far. The collar is comfortable and stays out of the way. There is also plenty of attachment points for your average angler to hang or store other gear. If I had to knock it down a point, I'd say the length is just a bit too long if you're going to wade deeply, but for me this hasn't been an issue. That could be because Redington combined sizes (e.g., S/M) so mine may be a bit too large. Again, you'd only wet the vest and some gear in the bottom pockets if you're wading deep. Overall, good product for the money.

 Good product for the price
Pros: Lots of Storage, Lightweight
Best Uses: Freshwater Fishing
Comments: Perfect basic lightweight vest for carrying the essentials in late Spring when it's too warm for a wading jacket. It's probably not right for the hardcore group that needs to carry every latest product for every contingency - but works well for carrying the basics, a few fly boxes, weights, spinners, whatever - without working up a sweat in warmer temps.

 Highly Recommend
Pros: Waterproof Pockets, Lightweight, Durable, Breathable, Lots of Storage
Best Uses: Freshwater Fishing, Fly Fishing, Casual Wear, Saltwater Fishing
Comments: I bought this fishing vest for my 7 year old Grandson for Christmas along with a Jr. size metal detector. He is using this vest not only for his favorite sport - fishing, but he is wearing it when using his metal detector to carry supplies, i.e., batteries, flashlight, etc. and to put all his treasures in the pockets on the vest. He loves to fish, he told me when he and his Dad are out in the boat fishing, he can keep all his fishing supplies that he will need in his vest. He is very proud of it, put it on over his pj shirt after opening.

Nice Vest
Pros: Lightweight, Durable, Breathable, Lots of Storage
Best Uses: Saltwater Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Fly Fishing
Comments: This is a great vest. The mesh allows for plenty of air circulation to keep you cool. It has just the right amount of pockets, not to many as to leave you searching for something but enough to store all your items.

 Good Value
Pros: Durable, Lots of Storage, Waterproof Pockets, Lightweight, Breathable
Best Uses: Fly Fishing
Comments: I bought this for my husband for his pending retirement. Although he has not used it yet, and will be new to fly fishing, he was very impressed. I like the fact that it is mesh, and will be comfortable in our southern California climate. Sizing is roomy enough that it will fit easily over heavy clothing should he travel to a cool climate. Construction looks durable.

Great for the flats
Pros: Lightweight, Lots of Storage, Waterproof Pockets, Breathable
Comments: I bought this vest because my old vest just wore out. Love it. I wade fish mostly on the flats, daily, always in salt water. Large pockets are great for inshore fishing. Very good value for the price. Get it.

 Great vest
Pros: Breathable, Lots of Storage, Lightweight
Best Uses: Freshwater Fishing, Fly Fishing
Comments: I used this vest as my pack and fishing vest while on vacation in Wyoming. Most of the high mountain lakes/streams I fished were 2-4 miles from the trail heads so I used the vest to carry everything. Even with water and lunch in the back pocket and all of my tackle/boxes in the front the vest stayed comfortable. Can't wait to get out and use it again.
