 >  > Raven Premium Balsa Floats - Fast and Medium - FM

With the development of the Raven float system, a float is now available for virtually any river condition and depth. Sporting a high visibility red tip and a low visibility black body, these balsa floats feature a high strength one-piece, fiberglass stem. Every float takes 3/32" silicone tubing on the top and 1/16" tubing on the bottom, to allow anglers to quickly change float size or model, without having to cut and re-tie.

The Raven Slow and Medium Premium Balsa Floats are specifically designed for salmon and steelhead fishing in fast currents, with medium water depths of 4 to 8 ft. The "weight" is not the weight of the float itself, but rather the amount of weight in grams that the float will support.

These are "loose" floats, meaning they do not come in a separate package. The rubber float caps used to attach the float to the fishing line are sold separately.

 Awesome float
Comments: This float is best for slower water conditions. They are very durable and very visible. The only thing i wish they had was a chartreuse color and a pink color but other then that they are awesome. I use them for both steelhead and salmon in the great lakes.

 love the balsa and black
Pros: quality, design
Cons: cost, don't want to lose them
Comments: Found one in a log jam, tried it out and bought more. Larger floats good for deep runs with heavy weighting. Drifting bags and jigs. Like the balsa better than plastic.

 Raven Floats
Comments: Great floats for steelhead fishing throughout the year. Buy your floats a little bigger than you think. Larger raven floats let you cast further and get your bait down faster.

 Great for centerpin fishing
Comments: Wish they made them in other colors bc its a bit of an eyestrain to focus on orange floats in low light conditions, but these floats performso well that its worth the sacrifice
