 >  > Raven Premium Balsa Floats - Fast and Deep - FD
Description

With the development of the Raven float system, a float is now available for virtually any river condition and depth. Sporting a high visibility red tip and a low visibility black body, these balsa floats feature a high strength one-piece, fiberglass stem. Every float takes 3/32" silicone tubing on the top and 1/16" tubing on the bottom, to allow anglers to quickly change float size or model, without having to cut and re-tie.

The Raven Slow and Medium Premium Balsa Floats are specifically designed for salmon and steelhead fishing in fast currents, with deep water depths of 8 to 12 ft. The "weight" is not the weight of the float itself, but rather the amount of weight in grams that the float will support.

These are "loose" floats, meaning they do not come in a separate package. The rubber float caps used to attach the float to the fishing line are sold separately.

 best floats bar none
Pros: indestructible
Best Uses: king fishing steelhead fishing
Comments: These floats handle anything you can put them thru. I live in northern Michigan and fish centerpin on many river systems. Raven floats are by far a superior float from 49 degrees to 20 below zero to small water to big fast water they are pretty much indestructible.

Comments: Doesn't come with the tubing needed to secure the float.
 Raven Balsa floats
Best Uses: Deep Water
Comments: Overall i was happy with the float however the silicone tubing that they sell for these floats i felt could of been a little smalller. You have to keep adjusting your float if you change the depth a little bit and dont want to adjust your shot

Best floats around
Pros: Easy To Store, Strong, Easy To Handle
Best Uses: Fresh Water, Deep Water
Comments: these floats are great...Im very rough and love fishing structure while pinning for steel. your quality floats allow me to beat them down and they do not break...unlike alot of other similar styles. I used to strictly use drennan loafers but these changed me. I just wish they would offer them in chartreuse

Pros: Easy To Handle
Cons: Poor Construction
Best Uses: Steelhead, float fishing
Comments: These are a little more technical of float. If a fish even whispers on this things, you'll know it. I use these in both slow and fast water applications. However, in slow water where hyper subtlety is important, they deliver. Very sensitive. Only draw back is that they tend to break. So treat them nicely.
