Reminiscent of the old Pfleuger Medalist Reels
Pros: Quality Construction, Good Value for its cost, Easily reversible, Smooth Drag System
Best Uses: Freshwater fly fishing
Comments: This is a reel for someone who wants to fish, not impress their friends with their hardware. It's a straight-forward design, rugged and well built like the old Pflueger Medalist reels when I was a teenager. With simple care it will last for many years. I'm delighted with mine.

Great Reel for the Money as many reviewers have stated
Pros: Very good value, Good Beginner Reel
Comments: I am a beginner fly fishermen. I have been using this reel for about 3 years. Being a beginner, I have abused the reel in ways you cannot imagine. I have filled it with sand and dropped it on pavement. I have not had a single problem that I could not fix with a little cleaning and lubricating. Buy this reel if you want to get (yourself or your kid) into the sport cheap without sacrificing too much quality.

 Okuma Sierra Fly Reel
Comments: I live in southeast Alaska and do a lot of saltwater fishing. This is my second Okuma Sierra reel. The drag works great. The Finnish on the older Sierra is still very good after 60 some Steelhead fishing trips. Overall a nice reel for the price. Dan Southeast Alaska

 Good reel for the money
Pros: Durable, Smooth Reeling, Smooth Drag System, Reliable
Best Uses: Fly Fishing
Comments: I bought this reel for the undemanding needs of fly fishing for panfish, and it does quite well. I wanted an inexpensive reel for banging around in a boat. And I prefer not to have the "click-click" on retrieve that many inexpensive fly reels have. My only criticism is that although the drag is smooth, its range of userful adjustment is rather narrow. I like the reel well enough that I've purchased two spare reels for it.

 Excellent reel for the price
Pros: Smooth Reeling, Durable, Reliable, Smooth Drag System
Best Uses: Fly Fishing
Comments: Returning to fly fishing after years of other sports and other types of fishing. This reel seems of high quality for the price. I wanted to change from left hand to right hand operation. Clear directions and the tool provided made this task easy. I haven't been on the water yet, but practice casting shows the reel works smoothly, holds 100 yards of 20# backing plus a five weight line.
 Great reel, Good value
Pros: Durable, Smooth Drag System, Reliable
Best Uses: Fly Fishing
Comments: This a good reel at a good price. Great for getting started on a budget.

 good reels
Pros: Reliable, Smooth Reeling, Line Doesn't Tangle, Durable, Smooth Drag System, Easy Casting
Best Uses: Fly Fishing
Comments: I like the Okuma sierra flyreels beacuse of the smooth reeling and the fact it doesn't click when reeling in only when a fish is pulling on the drag does it click . I've had no problem with these reels so why go to anything else.

Great Reels
Pros: Durable, Reliable, Line Doesn't Tangle, Smooth Drag System, Easy Casting, Smooth Reeling, Never had a problem
Best Uses: Brooks, Fly Fishing
Comments: I use a 3/4 w and never had a problem casting or reeling .The left /right hand feature is a bonus since i'm left handed .It only clicks on the drag and no noise reeling in which doesn't make other fishermen look to see where the noise is coming from. I'm now looking to buy another Okuma Sierra only this time a 4/5 w .I figure i had good luck with the first one might as well stick to the Okuma for a great dependable reel.
