 Great Rods
Pros: Love the combo
Best Uses: Downrigging and with Dipsy Divers
Comments: I have had 2 of these rods on my boat now for three seasons. Awesome rods for either down rigging or to use with Dipsy Divers! I'm back here to buy two more and forgot to leave a review sooner.
Lake Erie
great combo for Lake Erie walleye
Pros: Durable, decent drag, Great Action on the Downrigger, great price, good retrieve power, easy to set drag
Cons: line counter sometimes fogs, line counter can stick on let out (infrequent)
Best Uses: Walleye trolling, dipsy lines, planer board or downrigger, leadcore lines
Comments: We use both the 30 and 45 reels and the downrigger and leadcore rods in combinations... these combos just flat out get the job done for a great price and have been virtually problem free through many seasons of heavy walleye fishing on Lake Erie. (approx 40 fishing days a year) We have used them with 30lb Braid and with leadcore (on the 45s). The rods have held up to heavy dipsy use with none breaking. The line counter can sometimes skip or stick on the let out but it is rare and resetting the button and making sure it released before each let out has virtually eliminated that issue. The reels have a large capacity so I do recommend buying an inexpensive spool of heavy mono for backing to take up space, since the line counter is most accurate when the spool is full. The window for the numbers does fog sometimes. The drag is easy and quick to set and has been very smooth on the reels on our boat. For the price these combos are just hard to beat.

 Great value
Pros: Great buy
Best Uses: Downrigger
Comments: Great combo for the price.
West Twin Cities Metro
 Rod snapped on first use
Cons: Rod Snapped
Best Uses: Trolling
Comments: I ordered this combo to compliment a Okuma 15DX/ 7'6" ML Daiwa combo. The 7'6" ML Okuma rod snapped on the first day of use! The lure caught on some light weeds that the rod should have been easily able to handle. Had no problems with another Daiwa 7'6" ML rod that I have used over the past year. I can't comment too much on the 20DX reel since the rod snapped after little use, but if its like the 15DX it should be fine.

 Okuma Pro combo
Pros: great buy
Cons: Prefer a heavy action option for the pole
Best Uses: planer board or downrigger
Comments: Used the rod last week. It met all the expectation i had for the combo. I would prefer a 8' option for the pole in Heavy action. Overall a great buy/value

Northern Indiana
 Served its purpose
Pros: inexpensive, decent drag
Comments: Used for trolling with planer boards on Lk. Erie. Worked fine other than a couple times the reel would get locked up when trying to engage. Would have to turn the handle to get out of free spool. Couldn't just flip the lever.

Best Uses: Planer, Dipisys, Walleye with Dipsey divers
Comments: We now own 10 different sizes in these combo's unbeatable

 Okuma dipsey Rod and Reel
Pros: Smooth Reeling, Durable, Flexible
Best Uses: Trolling, Jigging
Comments: seems to work well with the bigger dipseys
Pros: Durable, Smooth Reeling
Cons: Too Stiff
Best Uses: Trolling
Comments: Line counter reel's nice, as is rod... But it's too much for trolling inland lakes less than 40' deep with bouncers. Better suited for dipsies or rigger rod.

 Great Trolling Rod
Pros: Well constructed
Best Uses: Trolling
Comments: Have the older version from a few years ago and just bought the 8'6" and the 7'6" models with the 30DX and 20DX reels. Very well make and everything works as expected.
Grand Rapids, MI
 Looks Great
Pros: Easy To Transport, Smooth Reeling, Flexible
Best Uses: Trolling, Ocean Fishing
Comments: Waiting for Salmon season to start on the big lake so I have not used these rods yet but they look great and will be plenty sufficient for what I need. Everything looks great and works great but I will yet to use them to bring in a hog salmon. I feel confident they will get the job done though.
