Good rod for a great price
Pros: Lightweight, Accurate Casting, Sensitive, Strong backbone for larger fish
Cons: Handle bit long
Best Uses: Big water, Large Fish
Comments: While I haven't landed a fish on this rod yet, it looks promising. Lightweight and good feel to it. Rod tip is sensitive and can feel and see the lures action. Reel seat locking ring comes loose a bit but no real worries. That can easily be fixed. Can't beat it for the price, I may have to pick up another for my wife but she struggles with the longer handles since she's only 5ft.

Comments: Having tried similar priced models from Eagle Claw, Daiwa and Shakespeare, I found this lower priced Okuma much better in terms of sensitivity, strength and feel . Love the Michigan handle for frequent casting and you know how important this is- it looks good too.

 Cheap but Durable Fishing Rod
Pros: Strong backbone for larger fish, Michigan handle
Comments: This rod is the best float fishing rod in its price range. I have the ten foot medium light model and it performs awesome. Its landed many steelhead throughout the summer, fall, and winter including a 21 pound king salmon. The finish is awesome especially in the sunlight. It is perfect for float fishing and i have had no problems with it so far. It has done everything and more than what i have asked of it and it has exceeded my expectations.

 10ft magic wand
Pros: Sensitive, Durable, Good Tip Action, Cost, Accurate Casting
Comments: I bought the 10ft spinning model with the shorter B type handle, and paired it with a Pflueger 7435 Arbor reel, a perfect combination. The rod is beautifully constructed and finished with lots of quality guides (10) and an excellent quality cork handle. You can sense every nibble no matter how light and hooks almost set themselves. The action and length allow for football field goal post to post casts (well almost) with 1/4 oz weight and a durable backbone that's distributed through the whole length of the rod. I really like it a lot.

 outstanding rod
Pros: well balanced, light weight
Best Uses: river steelhead fishing
Comments: truly a great rod for the money.i purchased this rod at the beginning of fall steelhead season in ohio, the lake erie tributaries.on my first outing i was fortunate enough to catch four steelhead, the rod performed flawlessly, with plenty of backbone to handle these hard fighting fish.the rod is good quality with cork grips and a hook keeper at the butt,a feature many rod makers omit.i own the medium action rod,but plan to buy a medium light action rod also,so i can use lighter line when the fish become more finnicky in the low clear water conditions of winter.

 Great customer service
Pros: Cost
Cons: Breaks Easily
Comments: I've had quite a few friends use this rod on yearly trips to Pulaski and they have had good luck with them so I bought one. On my first hook up it broke above the joint ( not very happy goes with out saying) but when I called fishusa they replaced it without any problems. So... Great job by them hooking me up not so great of a job by the rod. I will try it again seeing how my buddies have had so much success with it. Maybe the first one was just a bad apple, but we'll see.

Pros: GREAT ROD, DURABLE
Cons: None so far
Best Uses: LOCAL TROUT STREAMS AND DELAWARE RIVER FOR SHAD
Comments: GREAT 2 PIECE ROD FOR ANY AVID ANGLER. GREAT FEEL, LIGHT, AND DURABLE. CAUGHT A 6 POUNDER RAINBOW AT A FISHING CLUB IN FAST WATER JUST WAITING FOR THE ROD TO SNAP AS THE GRIP WAS AT MY CHEST AND THE TIP WAS AT MY BELT LEVEL. THE ROD HELD UP AND LANDED THE FISH. ONE MESSAGE TO ALL BUY ONE!!

 Greetings fisherman
Pros: 10 guides, Michigan handle, Cost, Strong backbone for larger fish
Cons: None so far
Comments: This rod was intended for use on Kamloops of the North shore in Lake Superior. I liked the quality so much I ordered one for my wife, and a third one for my son for Christmas. I use an okuma avenger float rod to centerpin on the Brule, and this rod is just as well made and a lot less expensive. In fact it has 10 guides on the 10 footer which is more than a comparable rod from Cabellas and gander mountain. they both have fewer guides and they both cost more than my current okuma just cost. I showed it to two trout fisherman at work and they both ordered the same avenger reel and Michigan handled okuma because they loved the feel and quality. I can throw a slinky weight and spawn about sixty to seventy yards from shore no problem.

 Pleasently Surprised
Pros: Great Value Great performance
Cons: None so far
Comments: I was taking at salmon fishing trip to MI a few weeks ago and decided right before I left I wanted to try a noodle rod this time. To be honest I had not bee familiar with this brand in the past but for the price I thought I would give it a shot. The first day of my trip I hooked into a large king That quickly ran fast current and deep water. I believe that my rod tip was lower than my handle a time or two and I thought for sure the rod was going to snap. I even got a couple of remarks as I was fight this fish some thing like " what gind of ****** rod is that". Very Impressed.

 Steelhead whoopin stick!!
Pros: Easy To Transport, Flexible, Durable
Cons: Heavy / Bulky
Best Uses: Pier Fishing, River Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: Well I have been looking for a reliable and reasonably priced steelhead/salmon rod for this year's Summer run Skamania, and low and behold found the perfect whoopin stick!! For the past 2 weeks I have caught 10-12 decent sized steelhead off a local Lake Michigan pier head and man has the rod proven itself, as most of my fish have come off this rod and it has held up to some of the toughest fish! High recommend this product!

Pros: Good Tip Action, Durable, Lightweight

 Quality Performace. Ideal Combo.
Pros: Flexible, Comfortable grip, Lightweight, Sensitive, Durable, Adequate Line Capacity, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: Large Fish
Comments: I was very happy with the performance of this product. Everything from the reel mechanics to the rod action scream quality. Its first day in use I caught 11 different fish. The smallest was a 6lb Brown Trout and the largest was a 17lb. Steelhead. I felt confident and in control while fighting each fish. I set a pretty high bar and this combo definitely exceeded my expectations. For a novice to Steelhead fishing that may not know what kind of equipment you need: This product right here is where you want to start.

Pros: Flexible, Good Tip Action, Lightweight, Sensitive
Best Uses: Large Fish, River Fishing, Fly Fishing
Comments: This rod is both sensitive, durable, and everything a steelhead/salmon rod should be. I have had the opportunity to use this rod a couple of times since its purchase, and I am both confident that it can handle big kings as well as help in dropping egg sacks in tough to reach spots for steelies.

Pros: Accurate Casting, Sensitive, Lightweight

 Great Surf fishing rod
Pros: Sensitive, Good Tip Action, Durable
Comments: This is a great rod for fishing the surf here in Calif. The lure weight rating is 1/8-1/4 but I can cast a 1 ounce weight with no problem.
Calicoman

 Good rod at good price.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Transport, Accurate Casting, Sensitive, Good Tip Action
Cons: Too short prefer 9ft
Best Uses: Large Fish, Small Fish, Surf fishing all spicies
Comments: I used to live in Northern CA and fished steelhead trout. This rod would be great for that purpose too. I now live in Southern CA and do a lot of surf fishing. Needed a rod that has some backbone as well as finesse sensitivity. This medium 10-20lb. rod fit the bill. Makes fighting smaller perch still fun with lots of rod bending action and can handle leopard sharks to 30+ pounds. Rod is fished hard in the saltwater, so I did not want to spend hundreds on a rod that will get abused. This rod so far has proven very worthy and would recommend it to others.

longer rod is long on the arm
Comments: The 10-ft length of this noodle rod is excellent for playing fish but a little tough for long casting as the pole can feel heavy. I may switch to the slightly shorter 9-ft noodle rod (its sibling model), with a slightly smaller reel for all-day fishing. Nothing wrong with the rod, which is beautifully made -- more likely my casting technique that makes it feel a bit large for my purposes sometimes.

 Fun rods, great price
Pros: Accurate Casting, Flexible, Good Tip Action, Sensitive
Best Uses: Small Fish, Large Fish, River Fishing
Comments: I fish in Alaska - these rods have the feel of a flyrod with the convienience of a spinning rod. Makes catchin smaller fish ( trout ) a whole lot of fun, yet has the backbone to handle salmon as well - have caught many silvers in the 12 to 15 lb range -the rod is sensitive and does the work after the hookup -- allows you to use much lighter line

 No fun on Small Fish!
Pros: Easy To Transport, Durable, Sensitive, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting
Cons: Difficult To Maintain
Best Uses: River Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: I live in California and our rivers have an "alright" run of Salmon and Steelhead but this rod is too heavy weight for them. The sensitivity is great but it it's tip is very fragile so when drift fishing, it's hard to tell when you hooked onto a fish. It's pretty good at tossing spoons and spinners but this isn't the rod of choice for drift fishing. If your preference is heavyweight then this is the rod for you. If you actually like to play the fish, then this isn't the rod for you. This rod drags in a 6lbs Steelhead like a bluegill...

 Excellent Rod for the Money!!
Pros: Durable, Sensitive, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: The Steelhead have been starting to trickle in so I took the rod out and tested it right away. Caught 2 nice ones (8 & 9 lbs) my first day out and several more since then. The rod handled the fish with no problems. It did a great job of protecting my light line and was sensitive enough to feel the light bite. An awesome value. (Especially if you are as hard on your gear as I am.)

Not a bad rod for the money
Pros: Durable, Accurate Casting, Easy To Transport
Cons: Too Stiff
Best Uses: Large Fish, Ocean Fishing, River Fishing
Comments: This is not a bad rod for the money. It is well constructed and looks great with the cork handles, but it is a little stiff and a bit heavy when matched with the right sized reel that holds 10 to 12 lb. line. Can be quite tiring and cause a stiff back if you fish a long time.

I enjoyed it, but it broke!
Pros: Good Tip Action, Flexible, Accurate Casting, Easy To Transport
Cons: Breaks Easily
Best Uses: River Fishing, Estuary Fishing
Comments: I caught and released quite a few silver salmon in the 12 to 14 pound range over the course of a morning in Kodiak, Alaska. The length and flexibility of the rod made casting #4 & #5 Silver Fox spinners quite effective and the rod handled these fish easily on 8# line. Unfortunately the tip broke off just above the ferrule closest to the tip. I did not notice any signs of damage or construction defects. I enjoyed using the rod and will either repair or replace it. I would recommend it because it is a very good buy.
