 Love em!
Pros: sensitive, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting, Flexible, durable
Best Uses: panfish and trout
Comments: I currently own six and I am about to order another. I have one 8ft ultralight, one 7.5ft light action and four 7ft light action spinning rods. I will be adding a 7.5ft ultralight to my arsenal after the holidays. I can' t say enough about them. I own several different brands of panfish rods(Bass Pro, Shimano, etc.) and, in my opinion, the Celilos are the best mix of quality, performance, durability and affordability you will find in a panfish rod. I use them on a weekly basis and they have caught untold numbers of panfish for me. In addition, this past Spring, I landed a couple of 10lb plus carp and untold numbers of keeper size catfish up to about 6-7lbs on one of the 7ft light action rods and it never skipped a beat. I have them rigged with several different models of Shimano 1000 series spinning reels and each one of them sports a rod sock to help protect the tips and guides. I prefer the longer lengths but I am sure your favorite length will work fine for you. I am an avid angler and I am not sponsored by anyone. I just enjoy sharing tips with anyone and the best tip I can give you is to buy quality equipment. However, in this case, quality does not have to cost an arm and a leg. FishUSA has the best price on them and very quick delivery. TRY ONE!!!

Best Uses: Great Trout Rod
Comments: I use this rod for trout and it does a fantastic job. This was my second Celilo rod. A 6'6 and a 7'6. Perfect ultralight action. Not too stiff and not too whippy. Landed a 6.8lb rainbow and it handled it well. Go out and buy one.

 nice rods!
Pros: Fish all day - very light
Comments: These rods are a great deal!! I bought two of these one at 7'0" and one at 7'6". As soon as I found em on here, I bought another of each, and I talked a buddy into buying the same. I LOVE THE RODS. They are nice and light, yet can cast a mile with 6 pound test. I can chuck a 3/8oz Kastmaster for days! I would recommend these to anyone as they are cheap, yet seem to be put together well enough to cost a lot more money. Great deal on FishUSA!!!!

 Nice rods, ... I bought 4 of them. :)
Comments: I like this rod very much. The first one I bought was at Field and Stream, but then I seen them here for about $12 cheaper. I use it almost exclusively to catch crappie. I pair it up with a Shimano 2500 reel and it's been a great combination.

A very nice ultalite a must have for finese fishing 2 to 6lb fish!
Pros: Price, Flexibility
Cons: A little more backbone
Comments: Excellent for long cast using small baits less than 1/4 oz jigs, twister tails spinners, blade baits etc. It could have a little more backbone ,but it is a ultralite.Flexible enough to tire out the hogs.Be careful easy to break, but what do you exspect for under 35$.

 light tackle trolling spread
Pros: Accurate Casting, Durable, Feel and Sensitivity, great action, great for multiple species, Great value for the money, Reasonably priced, very nice quality
Cons: would prefer a 1 piece rod
Best Uses: any fishing you may want to do with these rods, casting with light lures, crappie rigging, Light saltwater, Light saltwater inshore, Match with a light reel with 6# test., possibly light tackle offshore, a
Comments: I must note that I have lightned up on my fishing tackle for various reasons. With that said, I have purchased several of the Okuma Celilo spinning rods in various lengths. I have tried to get a pair of each length. This strategy has given me multiple casting options as well as allowed me to create a nice, balanced trolling spread. I am a saltwater angler and have found over the years, the inshore fishery has become and continues to become more finicky. The Okuma Celilo rods have not let me down from redfish to spanish mackerel. I can easily cast the lighest of lures especially the famous Clark Spoons. My hookup rate has increased since lightening up and fish loss has been minimal. In addition, I use these same rigs in my fresh water crappie spread. They work marvelous. As I have mentioned before, the only negative is they are two piece. I just glue them together with Seal All and all are now one piece.

 Fantastic rods for the price!
Pros: great actions, very nice quality, very nice looking
Cons: None that I can notice.
Best Uses: any fishing you may want to do with these rods
Comments: I never heard of these rods until last Summer when we went out on a boat Perch fishing on Lake Erie out of Erie, PA. My Brother Inlaw had boughten 2 of them and I used one and was very impressed with the action and quality for the price.I got home and oreded 2 from FISHUSA and used them in the Fall. My Son inlaw saw them and he to was impressed on these rods and wanted to know where I got them. I told him that they were not avaiable locally. On Xmas morning he was very surprised to see 2 of them under his Xmas Tree. I am going to get 2 more in the Spring. I would rate these rods as a 10 out of 10!! Great job FISHUSA on the securely rod packaging and the FAST shipping times.

Great to create an Okuma combo!
Pros: super sensitive, great for multiple species
Cons: would prefer a 1 piece rod
Best Uses: crappie rigging, Light saltwater inshore, possibly light tackle offshore
Comments: I created this rod into a super Okuma combo. I have two paired with an Okuma Avenger 25b spinning reel and one with an Okuma Stratus 25 spinning reel. I fish out of a flats boat on the North Carolina coast for inshore gamefish (flounder, trout, and redfish). The configuration of my rod holders create a great rig for crappie fishing when I cannot make the trip to the beach. I use 4lb High-Seas test mono. It makes a great outfit that is perfect for crappie and/or inshore light tackle. I have not attempted to use it for spanish mackerel, but that day is coming. I think it will do the job. If note, I am not a 2 piece rod fan...so I glued them together, applied a little paint, and some clear fingernail polish to finish it off.

 good rod
Pros: Accurate Casting, Lightweight, Sensitive
Best Uses: Small Fish
Comments: I got a 9'6" light action rod and use it for lake bank fishing for mainly white bass of 1 lb or so. The rod is light weight and has good sensitivity to detect fish bite. The choice for rods >7' long and light action is limited on the market. I am glad I found this. The price is ok.

 "Lightweight bait launcher"
Pros: Flexible, Easy to carry and hold, Fish all day - very light, Lightweight, Easy To Transport, Sensitive
Cons: A bit light for big fish
Best Uses: Wade fishing salt flats, Small Fish
Comments: I use this for wading the saltwater flats. It will cast a a live shrimp or light lure a long way. If you hook a larger fish expect to fight a it a long time. The rod is light action so you can't 'horse' the fish. This is my second rod of this model. (I broke the tip on the first one - my fault.)

 GREAT SMALLMOUTH RIVER ROD
Pros: Accurate Casting, Lightweight, Durable, Sensitive, Good Tip Action
Cons: Reel seat locking loose
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: Bought this rod to fish smallmouth in the New River in Western Virginia. Got the 7' version and it is great for fishing all types of baits from my kayak. The length helps keep the line off the fast moving river for better bait control. First time out, got in a 3lb smally, which got into very fast moving current. The rod handled it with no problem. Highly recommend this rod.

Pros: Good Tip Action, Easy To Transport, Accurate Casting, Sensitive, Flexible
Cons: Breaks Easily
Best Uses: Small Fish
Comments: I received this rod 2 days ago and have come to love it. However, yesterday on the way back from an afternoon fishing trip the tip of the rod managed to snap off. The rod was in the bed of a pickup with lots of other rods that have been hauled the same way for years without breaking. [...] I hope I have better luck with the next one. [...]

Comments: I currently own 10 of these rods. I use them for surf fishing, trout and steelhead fishing. They are like a Timex. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Comments: I love this rod. Inexpensive ,but well made. Recommended to me by my buddy who builds rods for a hobby. I have used it casting off shore for lakers in lake superior.  Exceptional value
Pros: Accurate Casting, Flexible, Easy To Transport, Durable, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: Small Fish, River Fishing
Comments: I've purchased several Okuma rods from FishUSA, but the Celilo I have is an ultra-light that I use for crappies and small trout. You get a well-made rod for an exceptional price. You can't go wrong with the Celilo when you consider the value. I have family and friends who are occasional fishermen, who haven't accumulated a ton of gear. I keep extra rods as lenders when I take guests fishing. I tell them not to worry, I've got just what they'll need. I may purchase a few more as gifts for the kids. If they break a tip in a car door, you're not out $150+.

Great Rod At A Decent Price
Pros: Attractive, Flexible, Sensitive, Accurate Casting, Easy To Transport, Good Tip Action
Cons: Haven't Found One Yet
Best Uses: Small Fish, River Fishing
Comments: I own three of these rods, a light, medium light, and medium. I like the way they look and cast. They're light in my hands. I didn't like the long Type B handle though. As soon as I received the ML and M, I cut the cork handle back to 5". I use the 7'6" light for trout streams, the 9'6" medium light for small rivers/ponds, and the 8'6" medium for larger bodies. The two lighter rods handle trout and larger bass with no problems. I'm waiting to hook a decent sized northern pike on the medium to see how it handles that type of pull. I always keep my rods in cases when not actually in use and ANY rod tip will snap off if you're walking through the woods and jam it into a pine tree...These rods are perfect for someone who sees no sense in owning a $300 spinning rod...

Comments: Just wanted to update my review. I started using this rod for trolling as well as plastics. I love the actio that the 7'0" rod delivers when trolling. I managed to land a 15# trout out of Corona Lake while trolling with this rod. I am amazed that a rod of this price range can give such great tip action while at the same time having enough back bone to land a 15# Rainbow Trout fighting for it's life. Don't hesitate, this is a great rod! Well worth the money and then some!

 Great Trouting Rod
Pros: Flexible, Easy To Transport, Accurate Casting, Good Tip Action, Sensitive
Best Uses: Large Fish, Small Fish
Comments: This is a great rod. I bought the 7'0" model, and it has enough backbone for larger fish and has a nice whipiness for casting small lures/power worms/jigs. I have it matched up with a Pinaccle Tiny Deadbolt, and this is a great combo for trout. Took it out for this first time this past weekend, and it performed well above my expectations for the price tag. All of my guides are in allignment, and I could not be happier with it's performance.

 This is the deal!
Pros: Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting, Sensitive
Cons: Breaks Easily
Best Uses: Small Fish
Comments: A great little rod for the money. It can break easily though so care must be taken. They should be able to stand up to a little more pressure than they do?

A great inexpensive rod
Pros: Good Tip Action, Durable
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: I river fish for browns and no rod I have ever tried works as well. It cast's great And gives the lure a lot of action when ripping. Catching 3 to 6 pound browns on 4 lb test is very hard without the right equipment.

You need to check this rod out!!!
Pros: Sensitive, Good Tip Action, Great value for the money, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: Small Fish, River Fishing, Large Fish, Surf Fishing
Comments: I love this rod because it allows me to cast further and is light weight. I surf fish almost every day on my way home from work because my drive is about 30 out of 42 miles of prime Southern California beach from Santa Barbara to Oxnard. When I surf fish I tend to walk up and down the beach 1 to 2 miles and then back to where I started. This rod is also very good for lakes and streams, although I mostly surf fish.I like this rod so much that I ordered a second one for a female friend that I am teaching to fish. This resulted in another friend asking me to teach him, and he has ordered the same rod after I let him try out mine. And if you are wondering if it could really handle the bigger fish, I do catch, battle, and land large legal size halibut from the surf.
