Pros: Easy to use, Very strong
Best Uses: Trolling
Comments: used the snapper release this past weekend for the first time and they are great. They are a must when using offshore boards. If you do not upgrade you can possibly lose the board if a big walleye hits

 Works as advertised
Pros: Easy to install, Works as advertised
Best Uses: planer boards, crank baits
Comments: Although I'm not particularly handy, I was able to follow the directions and replace the "standard" release which comes on the Off Shore planer board. This release is easy to work and appears to be more reliable

a necessity when using boards alone
Pros: one handed release, holds small diameter braids
Comments: I used .008" diameter braid to drag spinners, #7 jointed shad raps and #11 and #13 jointed Rapala minnows and a bunch of sticks with small diving bills. The OR-18 usually held the line without slipping. When it did slip (after picking up a stick or hitting a particularly thick gob of weeds), I clamped the OR-18 onto a small loop of twisted line and slippage ended. I did not use with deep divers, but I did scrag some pretty heavy flotsam so I've every confidence that it will securely hold any deep diver, at least those up to about 13 cm. The biggest thing for me was the quick one handed release when a fish was on. It is a pricy add on, but it sure worked for me.

Pros: 5
Cons: 0
Best Uses: Fresh Water, Trolling
Comments: I USED THE OR-18 ON MY OFF SHORE INLINE PLANNER BOARDS AND IT WORKS WELL WITH THE NEW SUPER LINES. NO SLIPAGE USING 15# POWER PRO LINE AND 20# FIRELINE.I HAD TO AJUST THE SET SCREW A LITTLE TIGHTER FROM THE FACTOR SETTING.NO PROBLEMS SINCE THAT WAS DONE.

 Planer Board Saver
Pros: Easy To Handle, Strong, Keeps Board On Line
Best Uses: Fresh Water, Trolling
Comments: These releases keep the line in the release regardless of the impact of the fish strike or size of the fish. When trolling for brown trout in Lake Ontario these releases are essential to avoid having the board come free from the line when a fish strikes. Otherwise the boards are easy to lose in rough seas if they come detached from the line.

 FishUsa is a great store
Pros: Easy To Store, Strong
Cons: Difficult to Handle
Best Uses: Fresh Water, Trolling
Comments: These are great for offshore boards for pulling crankbaits and other lures with a lot of drag. If you don't have big boards, these are the way to go to pull reef runners, Deep Husky Jerks, etc.

 Needed addition to your boards!
Pros: Strong, Easy To Handle
Best Uses: Trolling
Comments: I have a few sets of boards for trolling. I tried these clips out on one set of boards a few years back, and after that, it didn't take me long to put them on all my boards. They are a definite need if you use any super braid line, and just ensures no board loss with any line I've used them on. I love how secure they attach the boards to my lines. They are also easy to adjust depending on the type of lines you are trolling with. I would recommend these to anyone who uses boards!

 It works
Pros: Strong
Best Uses: Trolling
Comments: I bought it to hold inline planer boards on braid. I have 14" boards I pull Musky lures with. It will hold the braid super lines if you crank them down.
