Joe's Flies Short Striker Classic Spinners

Description

Joe's Flies Short Striker Classic Spinners combine the time proven effectiveness of hand tied flies with the irresistible flash of a premium spinner blades. Short Striker Classic Spinners feature a bonus stinger treble hook at the rear which increases hook ups for fish that "strike short."

Size 8 is the most popular size and is the ideal choice for most fishing conditions. These lures are perfect when fished with 4 to 6 pound test line for brook, rainbow, and brown trout. Size 10 is approximately 30% smaller in physical size than the size 8 spinners. These lures are great when used with 2 to 4 pound test line and are well suited for use in smaller streams where the water is clear and more delicate presentations are desired.

My most successful spinner
Pros: Looks Realistic, holds the fish well, fairly easy to use
Cons: size 10 is a little light weight
Best Uses: only used for rainbow trout so far
Comments: This little spinner shines. I used a size 10 and had to add split shot about 1-2 ft. above the spinner. That may be a little high. I will move it down a bit. I'm going to buy a size 8 next. Caught the fish just on the lip which makes it easy to catch and release. Very realistic fly, in my opinion. Mine had a red feather and I don't see this on any of the color choices. Hmm.

 Always a Great Lure
Pros: Easy to Use
Comments: Mainly use them for trout, and try to keep plenty of them on hand for hang-ups and such. Seem to attract larger trout too. One of my favorite lures

Amazing flies!
Pros: Irresistible to Fish, In heavilly fished waters
Cons: treble hooks have broken on me but mostly my fault
Best Uses: 10 inches below a split shot on 4 lb line
Comments: I have used these flies now for the last two weeks at a community fishery. On a twenty minute lunchbreak I caught six rainbows and everycast I made produced at least a hit. everyone else at the lake was using either powerbait or other lures and no one else was seen pulling in a fish

Pros: Good For Variety Of Fish, Irresistible to Fish, Easy To Handle, Great for kids to use
Cons: do bend some times
Best Uses: Fresh Water
Comments: Joes flies are my go to lures when they just aren't bitten. I might not catch the lunkers, but I'll catch fish. They're great for the kids to use. Whenever I am teaching, showing or introducing a child to the sport of fishing I always pack my Joes Flies. They've never let me down.

 Come in Spinner !
Comments: Similiar to other light spinners except these have the added benefit of the hand tied fly - brilliant. Tip - If using for Australian Bass use a small split shot sinker attached to flurocarbon leader.

It's the best fly-spinner i've ever used
Pros: Irresistible to Fish
Cons: It often hooks itself
Best Uses: Shore Casting
Comments: I found the best way to use this spinner was to drag it behind a clear bubble about 5 to 6 ft behind. I was catching fish all weekend when everyone else was watching. I even caught a 21 1/2 long 4.8 lb rainbow trout in the dark!
