 Good Machine
Pros: Good Machine, Good price
Comments: This is the first Power Auger we ever used...It meets every expectation...It pulls easy to start, probably because of its engine size... and it was the most affordable one out there..Just used it today again drilled 8" holes through 14" ice with ease

 Good value
Pros: easy start
Cons: Could have a transport stand
Comments: Machine arrived quickly and was easy to do the final assembly. I like that it has a primer as that seems to help with cold weather starts in small engines. Following the starting instructions it usually starts first or 2nd pull. It bores through the 32 nches of ice on the lake where I use it quickly. I should have bought it years ago.

nice auger
Pros: Easy To Use
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: starts easily enough, maybe 5-10 pulls first thing in the morning. later it might start on one pull. i like that you can close off the gas cap vent and not leak gas in your truck. it's heavier than a hand auger, but after cutting a few holes, you'll be glad you have it. i've never used any other power augers, so i can't compare it to others. but it cuts 8" holes quickly and easily, and the price was right. i'd recommend this to my friend, but he prefers to borrow mine. ha!

SUPER BUY!!!
Pros: Great Price, Durable, Functional, Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use
Cons: PLASTICS LOOK CHEAP
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: Im glad Eskimo came out with a good auger that was not over priced like so many of them now.Cuts threw 2' ice and hardly ever sticks.33cc is plenty of power for an 8" auger.Plastics seem a little cheap but it rode in the back of the truck all winter and it still in perfect shape.Starts rite up every time.Coldest temps I used it in was 5-10 degrees so it was not tested in severe cold weather but im sure it would do fine. Great auger and great price. Its about time. Thanks Eskimo.

Very Pleased!
Pros: Easy To Maintain, Easy To Use, Functional
Cons: Cheap plastic
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: I am very happy with most features of this auger. It cuts quickly, and no problems starting auger. I like the fact is so light for a gas auger. The plastic seems a bit cheap, but what isn't now a days. Eskimo honors their products and if there are any issues they are addressed promptly. All in all I like it. Good first time auger.

ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!
Pros: Functional
Cons: Poor Construction, Difficult To Use, Poor Design
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: I wouldn't recommend this auger to my worst enemy the constructio is horrible just down right junk the first day i had it on the lake it 45 minutes to start it then the only good thing i can say about it is it cuts a hole very fast i warmed it up and then it would start fine then i let it sit for about 30 minutes and couldnt start the rest of the day the second day i had it out i didnt get it started all day and the pull cord broke the workers at eskimo were no help there solution was sendi it back so i did and then bought a jiffy and hadnt had a problem since the overall construction is just cheep everything is plastic including the entire carburetor i recommend everyone that is looking into this auger should spend a couple extra bucks and save yourself a headache and buy an american made auger

Needs 1 improvement
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Gas cap needs help
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: Well designed, easy to start and use for what it is. Gas cap vent spits out fuel even on 1/3 tank, seals nicely when closed. Simply not fond of hands smelling like 50:1, don't see it as a fire hazard considering the overall design, just not needed when chasing finicky fish

 Best Auger Ive ever Used
Pros: Versatile, Durable, Lightweight, Easy To Use
Cons: Poor Rebuild
Best Uses: Ice Fishing
Comments: I bought this model in the bargain cave at cabelas, I was told the motor was rebuilt and the blades were replaced, it was the end of the season so I got a great deal on it, but I would buy this auger over any other one on the market, its lightweight, drills an 8in hole, and will power through 22 inches of ice like a hot knife through butter.
