Daiwa Acculite Salmon/Steelhead Noodle Rods feature a specialty slow/light action perfect for soaking up powerful runs from steelhead and small salmon. Long noodle spinning rods have long been popular on the Great Lakes and west coast when using light lines and small baits for steelhead, salmon and trout.

Acculite Salmon/Steelhead Noodle Rods are built on lightweight yet extremely durable graphite composite blanks. These rods also include cut-proof aluminum oxide guides with light stainless steel frames, uplocking graphite reel seats with silver cushioned hoods, high-quality cork handles and hook keepers. All rods in this series are two piece and are finished in a charcoal metallic with silver wraps.

 so far so good

Comments: Shipping was quick. Customer service excellent. The rod itself is solid and has great action. I can't wait to land some trout on her.

Great rod for the $$
Pros: Accurate Casting, Flexible, Durable, Lightweight, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: River Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: I fish the Columbia River for Spring Chinook and Steelhead, both from bank and from boat. This rod is great for me. I've landed a (neighborhood of) 25 pound Springer Native, it fought hard, and not for a moment did I feel I didn't have enough rod. Also I'm casting 8 oz's of lead with it. I cringed the first couple casts from the bank, but it handels it well! I'm gonna buy another for my boat, just encase someone needs it. As far as drift fishing, I'm not sure about it for that. It doesn't have the blank exsposed at the reel seat. Bobber fishing should be great with it. Rod loads up quick!

Rod broke in half on King..

Excellent Rod!
Pros: Accurate Casting, Durable, Flexible, Good Tip Action, Sensitive
Best Uses: Large Fish, Steelhead, River Fishing, Salmon
Comments: Got this rod 4 years ago for steelhead fishing. Since then have been on 60-80 fishing trips to the tribs of lake erie as well as the lake itself and never had a problem with this rod. I am all about Shimano, but this rod holds its own without a doubt. Durability, sensitivity and accurancy compare to $100+ rods.
