2 out of 4 had issues
Pros: Price
Cons: Line Counter Accuracy
Comments: I use these for great lakes walleye trolling. I started out buying 4 reels, took them home and tried loading line on them and getting them calibrated. With full spools I found 2 of the 4 reels would not calibrate so I started to investigate it. I believe there was a gearing issue as I would take out 100' and reel it back in and the counter would show 30' left to reel in, they would not zero. Never seen this before on any line counter reel, took them back after wasting much of my time on them.

great striper reel (from prior model)
Pros: Durable, Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling, Line Doesn't Tangle, Reliable
Best Uses: Trolling, Downlining
Comments: These reels are used for downlining for stripers/hybrids. Great drag system and accurate line counter;lightweight and no drag slippage with reeling a fish on. The only problem I've had is one of my Accudepths line counter case leaks and is hard to read the numbers.

AD17LCW Reel Used for Kokanee (from prior model)
Pros: Durable, Line Counter Great, Line Doesn't Tangle, Smooth Reeling, Reliable
Best Uses: Jigging, Trolling
Comments: I looked at a lot of reels to target Kokanee fishing. This was one of the smaller reels I found with a line counter. We used the reels for jigging P-Line Kokanators. Watched fish finder for a group of fish. Used the line counter to target just above the Kokanee. Used on downriggers less impact but useful in getting everyone at the same distance from the downrigger. Attached picture taken at Odell Lake Oregon June 2009. Using the Diawa reel with downrigger. In the picture you can see another pole. The reel is a Zebco 33 on a light Kokanee rod. Seems odd but a friend recommended that I try the Zebco 33 closed faced reels. I attached a line counter to the rod.

Not a shoppers reel (from prior model)
Pros: Line Doesn't Tangle, Quick retrieve, Smooth Reeling
Cons: Bay fishing max
Best Uses: Jigging, Bay fishing, River Fishing, Trolling
Comments: Purchased for trolling but tried it for fluke in ambrose and besides the drag being tightened completely, strong currents prevailed in still pulling out line. Twelve ounce sinkers where used; still pulled up hefty fluke all day. ( attached to uglystick ) great reel for those that do their homework.

Nothing like these reels. (from prior model)
Pros: so simple, Smooth Drag System, Smooth Reeling, Reliable, Durable
Best Uses: Trolling, Jigging, River Fishing
Comments: Nothing like these reels.I bought two of them then I bought four more. They are so smooth and so neat. You just use your locater to find the fish and the depth and just watch the counter until you put the bait right in front of the fish and hold on. I catch more than I can keep every time. Smooth dont even come close.
