Description

Please note that Cortland is in the process of renaming these rods to ProCast from the original name Endurance. We currently have a mix of rods in stock. Shipped rods will either be labeled as "ProCast" or "Endurance". All other rod features are the same.

Cortland Endurance/ProCast Noodle Spinning Rods have everything an angler would ever want in a light action noodle rod. Function, style and affordability make the Endurance/ProCast rods a top choice.

Endurance/ProCast Noodle Spinning Rods are great for targeting small salmon, steelhead, trout and panfish with light lines. Rod features include 100% graphite blank construction, aluminum oxide guides, premium cork handles, graphite-to-graphite "tip-over-butt" ferrule construction and Cortland's Limited Lifetime Warranty.

The most stunning feature of the Endurance/ProCast Series would have to be the rod blank. Before finishing, the rod blanks are wrapped with an ultra thin graphite fiber, increasing the overall strength of the rod while providing a distinctive look. All Endurance/ProCast rod blanks are finished in transparent olive sparkle flake and wrapped with tan with sliver trim. Fuji components and woven reel seats complete the rod's overall appearance.

 I Was Very Impressed!
Pros: Light weight but strong, Easy To Transport, Durable, Powerful, Good Tip Action
Comments: I was told by an angler that if your targeting Salmon & Steelhead that this is the rod to get. I purchased the 9' version and man I was not disappointed. It handle Salmon up till 20lbs with no problems, haven't been able to use it for the Steelhead but given it handle King Salmon to 20 pounds shouldn't be a problem for the steelies. I will be getting another one come Spring time for a backup

Best Noodle Rod Ever
Pros: everything about it
Cons: should have a hook holder
Best Uses: Steelhead Fishing
Comments: I absolutely love this rod!!! I have owned the 10.6 rod three years now and it has NEVER disapointed me. I have caught countless salmon and steelhead with this rod. landed a fresh 30lb chinook on 10lb leader this past September. Regularly fish 4-5lb tippet and land 15lb steelhead with only the occasional breakoff. Rod is also great for jigging spoons and bucktail jigs from shore. Gonna take it out in the boat in the next week or two to try surface trolling flies for landlocked Atlantic salmon, and I'm confident that this rod is going to come through once again. I haven't broken this rod yet, but Cortand has a lifetime waranty. If you are thinking about buying this rod, DO IT!

Best Uses: River Fishing, Small Fish, Large Fish
Comments: I use this rods in the nine ft model. Mostly for lake trout fishing with live bait anywhere from 20 to 135 ft down and with size 6 circle hooks they are great. Playing fish is a lot of fun. There are built great for the price can't beat them.

 Really nice rod
Pros: Durable, Good Tip Action, Flexible, Easy To Transport, Sensitive
Cons: No hook holder
Best Uses: Freshwater fishing
Comments: This is a great rod for a variety of freshwater fishing. Just a beautiful finish with an action that suits me perfectly. I use the 8 ft. rods for trolling off the side of my boat. Think so much of these rods that I've purchased three of them. Just can't understand why a quality rod such as this is absent a hook holder. I see no reason why they are difficult to transport since they are two piece rods. Absolutely love these Cortland rods.

 First Time Noodling-works as advertized!
Pros: Good Tip Action, Flexible, Sensitive
Cons: Hard To Transport, Well its long alright
Best Uses: River Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: Read about noodling for steelhead, so I wanted to try the technique here in Japan. No salmon where I live, but lots of carp built like sumo wrestlers. The rod allowed me to catch these bruisers on 4 lb test, with an ultralight Pflueger President 6725 reel.

 Super light Rod
Pros: Easy To Transport, Very light and sensitive, Sensitive, Accurate Casting, Beautiful Fit and Finish, Flexible, Durable, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: Large Fish, Small Fish, River Fishing
Comments: The Cortland rod is very light, sensitive, and has the most beautiful finish I have ever seen. The cork handles are not quite as nice as I expected. However the rod handles very nice. I have to make extra long casts, so I would be better off with a 9 or 10 foot mode.

 Great rod for the price
Pros: Sensitive, Good Tip Action, Accurate Casting, Durable, Flexible
Best Uses: River Fishing, Large Fish, Small Fish
Comments: This is the second Cortland Endurance Rod I have purchased. I use it to fish the rivers of western New York and Maine. I have handled fish from 10" to 18 pounds with them. The only complaint, if you can call it that, is it need a hook keeper at the base of the rod.
