 >  > Clam Ice Auger Drill Plate Conversion Kit
Description

The Clam Ice Auger Drill Plate Conversion Kit converts any 18-volt drill to a lightweight, powerful ice auger when used with Clam’s 6 Inch Hand Auger.

The industrial ball bearings of the Clam Ice Auger Drill Plate Conversion Kit absorbs the load from the auger so the drill is only used to spin the auger and not to support the auger torque, which greatly extends the life of the drill.

Features of Clam Ice Auger Drill Plate Conversion Kit include:

  • Requires 12 in. drive drill
  • Lightweight and portable
  • Weights six lbs.
  • Anodized aluminum frame, handle, and plate
  • Natural dual handle grip with easy to pull trigger
  • Includes all necessary hardware to mount to drill
  • Tested drilling through over 700 in. of ice using a 18 volt drill
  • Will work with most hand augers with exception of Nils USA Hand Augers

Drill and auger shown in pictures are sold separately.

the drill plate is awesome. I have a 18 volt Milwaukee on this plate cuts through 22 inches of ice like butter. I have seen Electric augers other types of drill adapters this is the only way to go, this is the real deal.was on the ice a guy that had a gas auger , I drilled two holes before he got it started.I have only seen it work with a 5 inch and a 6 inch auger .have never tested it to see exactly how many holes I could drill. on one charge but know for a fact I have drilled 25 and still had battery left. once again great product.

Keep in mind that i have a 8in auger and that is well beyond its specs 6inch max When you use use in 1st gear only make sure when mount the drill it is straight with shafts robs power if you don't most importantly....lift drill a lot and clean out hole a lot when drilling save battery a lot ..if you hog on it in deep ice you only get like 3 holes cus the battery will shutdown if you drill is old and beat up it will not work to good same for batteries if there newish they work great if there not they will not turn the drill well keep in mind I am using a 8 inch auger and it says to use no bigger then a 6 so a 3,4,5,6 would probably cut double the holes and work great 8 in auger is all I have
Pros: cuts faster then hand auger
Cons: cordless battery life
Best Uses: ice fishing
not what it seems

I went through a Dewalt and Milwaukee before I realize you will need an awfully expensive drill to get your auger through the ice any 18 volt drill I don't think so
