 Chota cleats
Pros: Easy replacment, Easy To Use, Relatively inexpensive especially compared to other brands, Relatively durable
Cons: Begin to bend after several months use
Comments: The installation is easy, especially with a small socket wrench. They are rather durable but the problem is not with the cleats but with the rubber sole. The cleats are relatively short so after 2 or 3 replacements, the hole in which the cleat goes begins to wear. Thus the cleats begin to shift. but considering that the price of other cleats is 2 - 3x more, they do the job and are economical.

 Chota replacment cleats
Pros: Durable, Easy replacment, Functional
Best Uses: Fly fishing rivers
Comments: The trick to relacment is not to let the origanals wear down so much you can't get a grip on the with a wrench or vice grips

 longer heads
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Poor Design
Best Uses: Fresh Water
Comments: The heads don't grab enough rock. The thickness of moss and muck prevents a good and safe grab. Now that most states requier the use of non felt sole boots this is an important factor in fishing safety.
 Work Great
Pros: Easy To Maintain, Functional, Easy To Use
Best Uses: Fresh Water, Salt Water
Comments: I wade fish a lot on rocky streams and as expected the original cleats started to wear. I did a preemptive replacement before my latest trip to the rock splippery San Juan. Getting the old ones out and putting the new ones in was a snap. Don't wait until the cleats are completely worn down. New cleats = cheap insurance against a fall in the river.

Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Poor Design
Best Uses: Fresh Water
Comments: Very easly to install, but they didn't preform as well as I thought they would, heads should have points on them for better traction.

Cons: Worn down hard to remove

Comments: Good product, just don't wait too long to change the cleats or they can be a little tough to remove.

Chota: The Best of the Best
Pros: Durable, Functional, Easy To Use, Easy To Maintain
Best Uses: Fresh Water
Comments: I've been fishing for over 40 years. The Chota STL Plus boots are the best I've found. Our streams in PA are rocky, and slippery. The Chota Cleats allow great traction. They do wear down over time but in 5-10 minutes you can replace them and get back out fishing.
