 >  > Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon Line

Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon is the most flexible, easiest casting fluorocarbon on the market today. Vanish 100% fluorocarbon has a similar refractive index to water, so fish can't see it. This 2nd generation Vanish Fluorocarbon line features an improved formula, with 20% better shock strength and improved knot strength. This newer, more flexible formula makes this line much easier to handle than the 1st generation Vanish line. Fluorocarbon line is non-absorbing and maintains strength and abrasion resistance underwater.

We carry Berkley Vanish Fluorocarbon in 4 through 10 pound test in 110 yd. pony spools. The line color is clear. Additional specifications for this line is listed in the table below.

Line diameter specifications can be seen under the Specifications tab above.

 Berkley Vanish
Pros: Easy To Handle
Comments: Fished Berkley's Vanish along side another well-respected fluorocarbon line and found no measurable difference. Appeared to have a lower memory and did cast easily. Price was very reasonable when compared to the other flurocarbon line I was using.
 Great and really strong line.
Comments: I tried this line and was wondered with the strength of the 4 lb test line. I can recommend this line to everybody looking for a strong fishing line for a reasonable price.

Pros: value
Great line. Won't use anything else.
Comments: I am really impressed with this line. Used it for the first time this season trout fishing my local river. Since I've had many more hookups over last year at the same spot, using the same technique. I'm convinced using Vanish=Tight Lines.

 Good Value
Comments: I use the 4lb test for trout fishing and am happy with the performance. I started catching more trout when I switched from mono (even lo-vis) to Vanish. After switching to Vanish, I did not notice a decrease in casting distance or more breakoffs. Since this is the only flurocarbon I have used, I cannot compare it to others, but Vanish is costs less. At the price, Vanish is a great buy for the recreational fisherman

Cost less that delivers a big bang!
Pros: Strong, Good For Variety Of Fish, Easy To Handle
Best Uses: Salt Water, Shore Casting, Jigging
Comments: I use Vanish Fluorocarbon Line as my leader line for fishing a variety of Hawaii's reef fishes (Jacks, Snappers, and Scad Mackerels)and sandy bottom fishes like Mullets and Bone Fish with good results. Vanish Fluorocarbon Line, in my opinion, is as good as a standard fluorocarbon leader line, but cost less per spool. I get more for the buck!

Good line but a bit too expensive!
Pros: Good For Variety Of Fish, Strong, Easy To Handle
Cons: Expensive
Best Uses: Fresh Water, Ice Fishing, Jigging
Comments: I use this product while ice fishing and it works well. It is difficult to see when in the water so it does what it says. It is flexible and strong but it is also the most expensive Fluorocarbon I have seen. I would recommend this product but I strongly recommend that Berkley reconsider their pricing so as to be more competitive.

The best seed bead stringing material
Pros: Easy To Handle, Strong, Easy To Store, Great for seed beads, Great stringing material
Cons: I don't fish, Addictive
Best Uses: Making seed bead items, Stringing beads
Comments: The best seed bead stringing material. I use the 4 pound line. It's so thin, that you can go through beads several times. I've easily made it through 15/o size Japanese seed beads 3 times, without the beads breaking. I love the strength. It holds a lot of weight without drooping or breaking. It's almost invisible. Beads color stays true and clear. It's also flexible. If you pull it, it has a bit of give, so it doesn't break. Sharp edges don't seem to fray this material. Not even when stringing bugle beads.
