Customer Reviews
 Light n Easy
Pros: Lightweight, Sensitive, smooth
Cons: Don't have any complaints
Comments: I bought this 10'9" rod as a standby for my other 10'6" rod but this rod performed better than I expected. I use it now as my primary rod for light surf fishing. It is very light and I can cast farther. It is very sensitive with a moderate action.
Rhode Island
 Great rod
Pros: Strong, flexible
Cons: needs a heavier tip rating, tip needs to be heavier rating
Best Uses: CarpRhode island, Carp
Comments: Bought two of these in the 9 foot length 1 1/2 oz. tip to use as carp rods. I paired them with Okuma Trio 55 Bait Feeder reels. Rods are so light you feel like they won't handle even a panfish. But they perform well, I was able to cast 1-1 1/2 oz. sinkers with method bait ball and the first fish I fought wrapped me up in some ubderwater debre, I put a lot of pressure on this rod with 15 lb. test Berkley Big Game line. Rod was doubled over and fish finally came free after several minutes of tugging and then releasing pressure on line. Landed a nice fifteen pound common! Today I fought a fat 13 lb. Common and rods worked great. They allow a lot of flex when fish is in close and scares off net to make another run. The flex acts as a cushion to help prevent hook tear out when you only have a few feet of line out. I really like these rods. I JUST WISH THEY MADE THEM FOR SPINNING IN THE 9 FOOT LENGTH WITH A LITTLE HEAVIER TIP! hint, hint. We don't have many American companies offering carp specific rods in the U.S. I think if they would make these a little beefier (1-3 oz. tip) that they would be excellent marketed as Carp rods.

 Graet Choice
Pros: Strong
Cons: A bit too light
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: I bought both, the 9' Light and 9' Medium action, Found the light a bit too light for the salmon in Pulaski with the river running fast. Plan to use it for Steelhead a bit later in the year. I use the medium for Salmon and love it. Actually broke it 3 wks later, my fault ! FishUSA replaced it, no charge ASAP !

Pros: Flexible, Durable, Good Tip Action, Lightweight, Sensitive, Accurate Casting
Best Uses: Light line surf fishing, Ocean Fishing
Comments: Use the IM8 for surf fishing. I got the 8'6 and it really adds some distance to the cast when using from the beach. So far has worked well and has caught Barred Surf Perch, Corbinas and even a small leopard shark.

Catskill NY
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, Sensitive, Flexible, Good Tip Action
Best Uses: Small Fish, River Fishing, Large Fish
Comments: I own a 10'6 IM7 and this is the sequel to that rod. For a rod rated at 4-10 lb test I have landed a personal best 13 lb steelhead and 12 lb brown trout on 6 lb test line. The rod picks up the slightest tap / hestitation and just when you think that big trout is going to blow you up the length of the rod starts to do it's job and all of a sudden the biggest trout of your life starts coming back to you and you are amazed, time after time. I've never had such a killer rod before in the IM7 and can't wait to get my IM8. I think I'll buy 2. advantage me....
Incredible rod for the $
Pros: Durable, Accurate Casting, Good Tip Action
Cons: Hard To Transport
Best Uses: River Fishing
Comments: Great rod. I have hammered chinooks to 44 lbs and steelhead as well as chrome (coho) on this rod. I like the long version and although rated for 6# test I spool it up with 17 to 20 for chinooks. I have had full on drag with the tip 4 feet below the butt and this rod will not break. Great for finesse with steel, and brute force with kings.
