X-Caddis

The X-Caddis is a caddis dry fly very similar to the Elk Hair Caddis, but with a trailing shuck of z-lon. This fly better imitates the just emerged caddis pupa in the surface film. The dark olive is a good Grannom caddis imitation.

These flies are tied on Mustad or Dai-Riki hooks and are hackled with Hoffman (Whitting Farms) hackle.

We have the fly available in Tan and Dark Olive, in sizes 16 and 18.
