Like most everone we struggled this year. Fish never came in close like years back. Hopefully gas prices will keep going down and we can follow the walleye all over the lake next year also hope for good reports on this site. They have been few and far between.

Report: the perch if you want a nice grade of perch are out north of turn around and we have a spot that is i5.5 miles away from the dock the perch are very nice i erased all my perch waypoints except for this one. 10 inch average buddy went out there saturday took a 4 man limit of 100 perch that come in at 49 pounds. his son got a 4 man limit that was 38 pounds on sunday the 7th.and we got a 4 man limit that weighed 39 pounds on the 5th friday. its between the turaround and west sister around 1-2 miles off the canandian line. got to split the gas it runs me around a hundred dollars to go a 30 mile round trip. but you get some nice 10-12 inch perch biggest has been 12 1/2 inches with a lot of 10 and 11s nothing under 9 inches and we still throw back a lot of small fish if they keep the nets out of the western basin and they grow up we should be in for some very good perch jerkin in the next couple years. we been catching 100 to 200 small ones 3-6 inches so you need a good bucket full of minnows.we also been catching 6 on the average small walleyes 6-8 inches so that is good for the next year the 2003 class is growing but getting old and thin from all us fisherman they say the 2008 walleye hatch was very poor but the perch hatch was decent. waiting for some nice weather and some calm seas the water is still very dirty till you get out even at 15.5 miles out the water still has a lot of algie floating on top we need some cool days to lower the water tempature. maybe it will settle down and we can spend less money on gas in the end of july we got around 600-700 perch in front off wards in 18 -22ft of water till the northeasterleys screwed it up never seen so many 85 degree days with 2-4s out of the north east
