Viagara Caddis

An imitation of the green caddis (genus Rhyacophila) found in most streams in North America includes this Viagara Caddis. The green caddis is a favorite of trout and steelhead. In addition to the caddis, this could also pass for a green rock worm or inchworm which is commonplace crawling up the vegetation and trees along the streambeds.

This fly is tied on a size 14 nymph hook. The body is chartreuse with wooly dubbed head.
