SuperCaster Baitcasting Reels
U.S. Reel has recently stormed into the world of fishing tackle manufacturing with its acclaimed line of SuperCaster wide spool spinning reels. The company set out to tackle problems associated with current tackle design. Now, they have once again changed the way we look at our gear with the SuperCaster series of baitcasting reels.
When U.S. Reel looked at modern low-profile baitcasting reel design they noticed that the biggest drawback was the levelwind guide. The levelwind guide is the biggest obstacle when it comes to resistance against casting distance. The side-to-side action of the levelwind works great on the retrieve and puts line back on the spool with precision but, when casting, the levelwind causes friction which hinders overall casting distance.
SuperCaster baitcasting reels eliminate the standard levelwind and employ an Angled Bar Levelwind or ABLe. Line lays on the top of the rotating bar and as you reel the bar creates a see-saw motion which spools on level. The ABLe also moves up and down acting as the cast control. When the ABLe is set at its highest position, the need to thumb the spool is minimized. In its lowest position the the ABLe allows you to cast a country mile.
The SuperCaster baitcaster's spool rotates in reverse from standard baitcasting reel, causing the line to come off the bottom of the spool. The ABLe levelwind bar design needs the line to come off the spool at a greater angle to work correctly. This means the spool is easier to control with the thumb as the spool is turning into the thumb during the cast and as an added benefit the design make backlashes rarer, yet when they do occur they are easier to manage.

We carry two model of the SuperCaster baitcasting series reels. Model SC1000BC is black in color, features a high torque 6.6:1 gear ratio and has 4 bearings. Model SC1000Pro is red in color, features a fast 7.1:1 gear ratio and has 6 bearings.
