This is a pretty good rod for the money,and i found it to perform very well for down rigger use.It's a good rod for large salmon,as it has the backbone to put enough pressure on the fish,while being flexible enough to allow the use of mid weight lines.
It offers a lot of line guides and a hook keeper,that some of my expensive rods don't have.
