the first cast I made at lake camanche resulted in a 7.3 pound rainbow trout. The play was better than could have been expected from a rod at 5.6 feet long. Will now buy one for my wife. Randy Jensen

Comments about St. Croix of Park Falls, Ltd. St. Croix Triumph Spinning Rods:
I bought the Triumph Travel Rod, TRS56ULF4 which 5.5' in length. Great action and plenty of power to catch brown trout and largemouth bass. I have had the rod about 4 weeks now and I have both of the above types of fish. My main reason for buying the Triumph Travel rod was for ease of transport and ability to cast well and to handle the fish I come across. The only thing I wish is that Fishusa would come up with a hard case that would hold the rod(4 pieces), an ultralight spinning reel and and few lures and hooks. Similar to the Daiwa or Shakespeare executive kit, but minus the reel. This would allow the use to select their own reel. I would recommend this to the avid and casual fishermen.

Comments about St. Croix of Park Falls, Ltd. St. Croix Triumph Spinning Rods:
I fish on average 5 days a week since I retired in Dec. of 2006. I have other brands of rods and I also fly fish. For the price, the Triumph rods are hard to beat. I primarily use the UL,L and ML rods whether worm fishing for bass or tossing small spinners, these rods hold up. I've caught hundreds of fish and a number of large ones to affirm how tough the rods are.

This rod has it all, from great action to easy set up and break down. It also can be taken anywhere. This rod breaks down into 4 pieces and is stored in a nylon cushioned pouch, small enough to put in a backpack and hike to your favorite stream or river..
