Comments about Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Shakespeare Ugly Stik Spinning Rods:

Last week I received my new Ugly Stik SPL110266 6'6" 2 pieces,Light action 4-10 lbs rod. Saturday afternoon I was testing it in a mountain lake, special for trout fishing. I have almost all Ugly models but this particular item was delighting me during that day. It's just perfect, great balance, flexibility and strongness, easy 60-70 m castings, it's the bests value between cost and performance. I've been using a Mitchell Advocet II Silver reel with 6lb monofilament.I'm thinking to buy the travel model 3 pieces, 5' too. And special thanks to Fish USA, [...]

I have caught countless species with the Ugly Stick, from smallmouth in the Potomac River to Snook and Redfish on Florida flats to Northern Pike in Quebec. The price/quality ratio on these rods is unmatched.

Comments about Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Shakespeare Ugly Stik Spinning Rods:

I was needing an inexpensive rod that i could take down in keep in the back of my truck for those times when I had some free time and wanted to go drown some minnows.

I chose this rod because of its price and other reviews. Its ok for what I needed but its construction quality is fair at best. I spent a couple of hours with the rod straightener out the rod guides and smoothing down some of the rough edges.

Would I buy another one, probably.

Comments about Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Shakespeare Ugly Stik Spinning Rods:

Of the fishing rods I have 4 of them are Ugly Stiks. I would tell anyone buying a fishing rod to make sure you look at the Ugly Stik before you buy. Great product at a very good price and is very durible. Can't beat this rod on price and performance.
