Comments about Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite Spinning Rods:

I purchased the 6' 6" ultra light for trout and panfish. I like that Shakespeare put 7 guides plus the tip guide on a 6' 6" rod instead of saving money by using only 5 or 6. I would give it 5 stars but it's a little heavy for an ultra light.

Comments about Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite Spinning Rods:

Bought my first Ugly Stick about 45 years ago and still have it and still use it, even though i had to replace the tip eye after I shut the car door on it years ago. Just bought two more Ugly (Ultra-Lite) Sticke - one for me and one to go with my grandson's first fishing outfit. That makes 12 Ugly Sticks for me now. I have other rods that I have tried but, except for one, I always go Ugly when I go fishing these days. In my book, it's the BEST ROD MADE!

Comments about Shakespeare Fishing Tackle Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite Spinning Rods:

I mounted a Shimano Sedona reel on it and my ability to cast in a tight spot was increased dramaticly. I was able to keep the fish in front of me the came in at 4 pounds without chasing it down the shore.
