Good rod! Well priced for majority fishermen/women. The clear tip makes it look stronger.
It is a pity that it could not work with the Zebco Platinum 11PLT Triggerspin Reel, with the reel smaller for the reel seat

Large and small fish are both possible. I fish light tackle and stout line, particularly in the river. Big fish can be caught with UL rods paired with heavier line.

Every thing from Slab's to SLABZILLA's. Sensitive enough to twitch a small jig and the backbone comes in at the right time. Fits my style very well. Thinking about buying another.

Works awesome on big rainbows and steelies.
Sensitive tip but stout backbone.

I purchased the 6' 6" ultra light for trout and panfish. I like that Shakespeare put 7 guides plus the tip guide on a 6' 6" rod instead of saving money by using only 5 or 6. I would give it 5 stars but it's a little heavy for an ultra light.

I own two ugly sticks . they work great for all species of fish including sharks ! thats right, sharks! a five foot bull shark was no match for my ugly stick . In my opinion ugly stick rods are the best .

Bought my first Ugly Stick about 45 years ago and still have it and still use it, even though i had to replace the tip eye after I shut the car door on it years ago. Just bought two more Ugly (Ultra-Lite) Sticke - one for me and one to go with my grandson's first fishing outfit. That makes 12 Ugly Sticks for me now. I have other rods that I have tried but, except for one, I always go Ugly when I go fishing these days. In my book, it's the BEST ROD MADE!

I mounted a Shimano Sedona reel on it and my ability to cast in a tight spot was increased dramaticly. I was able to keep the fish in front of me the came in at 4 pounds without chasing it down the shore.
