The HT Enterprises Polar Therm Tip-Ups feature thermal covers to insulate ice holes from freezing. These tip-ups are very easy to use, simply pull the center mechanism into a perpendicular position, set the line at your selected depth, place the telescopic flag trip under the trip bar and place tip-up in the hole.

Let me start by saying that I'm not familiar with vertical spools on tip-ups, and this model(PTT-2) the 200' spool is way too small for me. I like to use vinyl coated line, however I did after some searching find a line thin enough to get at least 25 yards on it. AS for portability, I had a zippered bag that turned out to be perfect for 4 tip-ups with the thermal hole covers. The reason I got these was for extreme cold and blowing snow, and that's the only time I'll take them out on the ice.

This is the best tip up! I love the long flag. It allows you to view it from a greater distance. I should have ordered more.

have caught small fish and larger fish with this one.Can produce some false flags at times. be carefull with the flag bends rather easy.

Easy set up, ajustable flags make them visable in deepest snow, holes don't ice up resulting in 50% more fish hooked and hore time fishing less time skimming holes. smooth action adjustable for big or small fish. Best tip up's I've ever purchesed. If you know any one that want's to purchase my old one's cheep aprox 36 I'll never set them on the ice agen.
