I like this rod. It's flexible and sensitive enough that I can feel the smallest of hits. I do a lot of my ice fishing in a one man shanty and the rod and I are very comfortable. I take it with me when I go out on the bucket also. Just as a side note, I have two of these rods...great little rod.

I use A small fly reel on this rod and it works great in shallow or deeper water. The tip is very sensitive ,but I still ues a spring bobber, it makes it easier to see light bites. You do have to check the reel seat now and then , they do loosen up.

I love this thing. The smallest fish makes it seems like you have a 2 pounder. I bought the 48" so you can stand at your hole instead of bending over. I would like it better if the handle was longer. That is the only reason i gave it 4 stars.

I have reeled in even large fish with this ultralite. Had to add a spring bobber even though advertisement said none would be needed.Rings do not stay in place well with my tiny okuma reel this may be due to such short handle, might have to use some tape.

Ice Blue Super Flex fishing rods are the best ice fishing rods I have ever used for perch, bluegills and crappies. I hate using spring bobbers and the light action rods with very sensitive tips from Ice Blue allows me to fish without any add ons to my rod. If your any kind of a fisherman at all you will out fish anyone that's not using an Ice Blue. Can't say enough... Try one, you'll love it.

Comments about HT Enterprises HT Enterprises Ice Blue Super Flex Ice Fishing Rodsoff:

I bought 1 of the 24" superflex poles 3 years ago and although I take 12-14 ice rods with me I kept finding myself fishing with this one!! Last year I got into night fishing for super light biteing crappie and this pole was the best bar none. So I ordered another 24 and a 30". After useing the 30" 3 times this year, I love it and will soon try the 36" model. No need for a wire bobber with these poles, even fishing for perch and crappie.
These poles are very thin. You think they would break but I have landed 2# trout and 26" burbot and all they do is bend in half!! They are too light for a stiff hookset and the eyes are small and ice up, but I still keep fishing them on all but the larger fish!!

I use the product ice fishing. The 24" works the best for me. The 18" is a little stiff for jigging for me to see the bite. I do use it with a cork. The longer one is ok if you sit on a bucket or something.

Comments about HT Enterprises HT Enterprises Ice Blue Super Flex Ice Fishing Rodsoff:

IB 48's. I don't recommend these because my secret will be out. Perch and bluegill on St Clair and Simcoe. We see the bite with the red tip before we feel it. Add a non-stretch line to the open water fishing. enough back bone for those occasional 5 lb bass. More fun, more productive than heavier rods. I give them away for christmas to my fishing buddies.

I personally own 2 of the 36 inch ice blue rods. I have landed both small and large fish on them without any problem. I have caught a 9 lb stripped bass along with a 30 inch atlantic sea run salmon while ice fishing a frozen river for perch. Out of about 10 ice rods I own these are my favorite for setting light hits and the sportsmanship of playing large fish.
