i go through alot of rods but when i broke my matrix and the shop did not have any more at all i jerry rigged the tip and fished for the next four days mid winter on the salmon river at altmar,n.y. i stillcan say that "my broken matrix is still my favorite rod" and i have alot of more exspensive rods i will be using it the schoolhouse hole in altmar march 25-april3,2010

Will use this rod with both center pin and spinning reels. Rod is great for the steelhead and also will be with me for the salmon run. Good buy!
