Very nice rod and reel combo. I was pleased when I used it the first time over Memorial Day weekend. The reel is smooth for a 1-bearing system. Rod was quite sensitive and responded well to bites. Unfortunately, my rod was broken during the night. I'm 99% sure someone knocked it over and stepped on it, breaking the rod. It broke in an awkward spot but in now way to do I completely attribute this to the company or their quality control. Stuff happens! I've since bought an Ugly Stik and outfitted it with the reel that came with this combo and I couldn't be happier!
