I use this on Lake Erie, bottom fishing for Yellow Perch. I bought one to try it out two seasons ago, and last year bought my second one. It's just an awesome combo for the money. The reel is super smooth and the rod has the right balance of fast action tip and backbone right where you want it for a nice hookset. Very sensitive and forgiving rod.. I have two of the 6 foot Light.

This combo is both strong and sensitive. I have the 2 piece 6' light action combo. I use it to catch everything from panfish to bass. Hands down the best combo I've owned. Great value for the money.

This combination works perfectly for most fishing situations you will encounter. It can be used for everything from trout to fishing in a pond for panfish and bass.
