I purchased this outfit, for my son, when it still came with the 2 pc GRX 7.5' 4/5 rod. I really can't say anything about the 4 pc rod which is now included. I am very pleased with the quality of what I received. I shopped around and for the price this was the best youth combo I found. I've seen the reel alone for [$] and with 333 HT WF floating line how can you go wrong. Even if the rod isn't quite what the GRX is, I'm sure it is a great starter kit.
