I use them (5) in both Salt Water and fresh rarely, if ever cleaning them. I have never had a failure Picked up a 31" Norther Pike yesterday on a 1500 ser. and a ultra light rod. Personal Best in NJ

I have ten Shimano reels and have been very satified with them all. I use the Sedona 2500 for steelhead fishing and it does a great job. Good reel for a great price!
