I bought an Okuma Metaloid and had trouble with anti reverse. I sent it back to them for repair and they replaced it with an Alumina. Normally it reels smoothly but about once per trip is seizes and must be forced to continue reeling. I wish I had replaced the Metaloid with an Epixor, my favorite reel.

This is a great reel for the price. The alumina 20 is lightweight and smooth. I have several spinning reels in the $180 to $240 price range. The difference in weight and smoothness is barely noticable from my expensive reels. If you want a nice reel at an inexpensive price, the alumina is the way to go. I have another alumina I have used for 2 years in salt water almost every weekend, and it is still smooth. The okuma alumina also requires very little maintenance. I spray mine off with the water hose when I get home and thats it. You can buy smoother, reels but dont expect to find them under $100.

The handle snapped off while setting the hook on a fish (3rd time using the reel). Perforated handle design seems weak - it broke through at one of the holes (thinnest point). Okuma sent replacement handle (different design - stronger) within 4 days after I contacted them. Haven't had a problem since. [...]
