Drift fishing steelhead from a boat avg.8-16lb fish.Bail is a little hard to engage after a cast for my friends that use this reel. I try and get them to flip the bail by hand. These reels fish 3-5 days a week from Dec-March and not a problem ,retired and live on the river that's the reason I fish so much.I release all wild fish (only killed 2 hatchery last year) 22 lb hatchery steelhead released last year using the #20 reel 10 lb line

Nice reel and works well. It is a little noisy for my tastes. Going to try some lubricant to get it a little quieter.

My clients in Yakutat, Alaksa have caught over 3000 steelhead and salmon on my 2 Epixor 30 reels. They have never failed and the drags are still excellent. I have serviced them before each season and they are still in working order. I'll order more this year. What a great product at a great price.
