I live 2 miles from the south plat river with in 5 miles we have 3 lakes I fish 3-5 times a week for brook, cut, cutboe, brown, kokanee salmon,and northern pik

This is one smooth operator. Great drag adjustment range and plenty of room for backing and a weight forward flyline. I can't wait to go one on one with a big Lake Erie run steelhead.

I have two ,(different sizes) that I use and slightly abuse, they get dunked ,dropped and thrown about the driftboat and preform supurbly.There is no reason to spend more for a flyreel period.

WHEN USING THE REEL ONCE IN A WHILE THE LINE WORKS IT WAY BETWEEN THE SPOOL AND THE REEL BODY OTHER THEN THAT IT HAS A SMOOTH DRAG AND CAN HANDLE PRETTY BIG FISH

Just received the 1956 model. Did not have a chance to put the new Rio line on yet. But I'm very impressed with the quality machine work that went into this reel.Much better reel than the cast aluminum type, of other manufacturers , which would probably crack easily if dropped on a hard surface.Very impressed with the Trion fly reel. Thank You.

I have used the Trion on several trout fishing trips up North now. It preforms flawlessly and is very smooth.
It helped me land a few five pound rainbows
much more easily even though I was using 2lb tippet
and a small fly. No problems whatsoever.

I bought it again and spare spools !!

This reel is one of the smoothest reels I have ever used. From hard fighting NW steelhead to small stream trout, they have performed flawlessly.
I have used Pflueger reels (Medalist, Supreme and Trion) for a while now and have tried other brands. I'll keep coming back to Pflueger. They have bulletproof products at rock bottom prices. Well done Pflueger.
