Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp. Okuma Sierra Fly Reels:

I bought this reel for the undemanding needs of fly fishing for panfish, and it does quite well. I wanted an inexpensive reel for banging around in a boat. And I prefer not to have the "click-click" on retrieve that many inexpensive fly reels have.

My only criticism is that although the drag is smooth, its range of userful adjustment is rather narrow. I like the reel well enough that I've purchased two spare reels for it.

Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp. Okuma Sierra Fly Reels:

Returning to fly fishing after years of other sports and other types of fishing. This reel seems of high quality for the price. I wanted to change from left hand to right hand operation. Clear directions and the tool provided made this task easy. I haven't been on the water yet, but practice casting shows the reel works smoothly, holds 100 yards of 20# backing plus a five weight line.

Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp. Okuma Sierra Fly Reels:

I like the Okuma sierra flyreels beacuse of the smooth reeling and the fact it doesn't click when reeling in only when a fish is pulling on the drag does it click . I've had no problem with these reels so why go to anything else.

Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp. Okuma Sierra Fly Reels:

I use a 3/4 w and never had a problem casting or reeling .The left /right hand feature is a bonus since i'm left handed .It only clicks on the drag and no noise reeling in which doesn't make other fishermen look to see where the noise is coming from. I'm now looking to buy another Okuma Sierra only this time a 4/5 w .I figure i had good luck with the first one might as well stick to the Okuma for a great dependable reel.
