This spool fit and older (2007 I think) Cabela's Prestige One 5-6 wt. reel I own, as Okuma mfd. this reel for them. Cabelas no longer carries the part. I was delighted to find it. This reel is a simple, effective disk drag with easy drag settings, unidirectional drag, quiet reel-in, and a classic design with a wooden handle, at a great price. I use the spool to switch between an 8' 6 wt. and a more delicate 7'9" 5 wt. and the reel balances great with both. I am hard pressed to imagine needing much more reel for smallmouth and trout, but there will always be those who relish dropping [$] for a reel whose backing will never see the light of day.

I bought my Scierra reel in Australia about 10 years ago. I now live in the UK and didn't want to shell out on a new reel so a spare spool was not only cheap but meant that I could still use the same reel. The Scierra Gillie reel is an excellent piece of kit. From altantic salmon (small spool was a bit hair-raising when the backing almost ran out) to 8" brownies in small streams, this reel can do it all. And glad to find that after 10 years I can still get replacement spools.
