Purchased reel to put on a 42" spining rod I built for my 3 year old Granddaughter. Casts real well with just the weight of a small bobber and very little effort. Very smooth retrieve and drag seems smooth. Right or left hand retrieve is a nice feature also. Haven't used it yet on the water. Can't wait to get her on the lake this summer.
