Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp. Okuma Aventa VT-1002 Center Pin Reel:

This is my first centerpin and have loved it so far. The casting takes some getting used to as with all centerpins, but its second nature after you learn it. The startup is good, very durable and spins for days.

I'm a Flyfisherman, but being a guide you need to know not just the river, and what it takes to get your client on a fish but aslo it's very helpul to know all fishing methods. Thanks to my good friend Bob from Ohio, who got me into center pin-float fishing,he recomemded the Aventa and about two weeks later i hooked just not one fish but ended up hooking four in a day and landed all four, two 10 pounders and two at 12 lbs. It's a great reel if you starting out or have been fishing for years.

Comments about Okuma Fishing Tackle Corp. Okuma Aventa VT-1002 Center Pin Reel:

As my first center pinning reel, it has worked exceptionally well. It's constructed well and I've never lost a fish because of the reel. Sometimes the line gets a little tangled up when casting or reeling in quick but besides that it's a good purchase and a great way to become a better pinner.
