The new Chronarch has been adapted for newer fishing techniques and saltwater flats fisherman. The new Chronarch has an ion plated finish. Of course there are also many of the exciting features that were introduced during Chronarch A's illustrious lifetime: Super Free Bearing Supported Pinion Gear System (SF), High Efficiency Gearing (HEG), Anti-Rust Bearings (A-RB), and Super Stopper with Assist Stopper. All models have six ball bearings in addition to one roller bearing.

we do a lot of speckled trout and red fish tournaments and this is one of my favorite reels of all time!its a little heavier than the core but its more durrable and casts better in my opinion.
