I bought the reel (because of the price) to complete my grandson's first fishing outfit. After trying it out, I decided to keep it myself and bought my grandson a Zebco. I've used the new reel three-four time for light stream (trout) fishing and so far so good. Time will tell how reliable and durable it is, but for now, it's a nice little reel.
