I subscribed to this magazine for two years. If you want a magazine for the nice pictures of fish, it's ok at best. What I found STS to be was a bunch of weekend pictures and stories of publisher Frank Amato and his buddies and their fishing trips. The magazine comes out only 5 or 6 times a year and each issue is focused around what Frank Amato did in between issues. You get tired of looking at the same people fishing the same rigs on the same rivers. They only focus on fishing on the West coast with very few techniques that apply to Great Lakes fishing. [...]Bottom line: Nice photos of West coast fish. Poorly managed publication.
